Edinburgh, capital of Scotland, sits on a hill with views of the sea. We took a short walk from the train station to the mighty Edinburgh Castle, home of the Scottish Crown Jewels and other medieval treasures. Castle Hill provides fabulous views of the city below. Our next stop was down the hill to Greyfriar's Church and cemetery. Its most famous resident being the Skye Terrier dog, "Greyfriar's Bobby." We wandered a bit of the "Royal Mile" and then to St. Giles Square before returning by commuter train to our port. It is a beautiful city not to be missed.
