In Umeå we had -33 when it was coldest. To get my car started, I took the battery indoors overnight to get the temperature in the battery on the plus side. Also a block heater and motor of oil 5 - 30W is recommended. At -30 the clutch gets stiffened so that you just barley can shift gears! To watch Dani´s videos makes me smile! Thanks Dani!

@5:02... "like a coldburn" ... greetings from Canada... that's called frostbite. You needto cover your face about an inch away with a scarf, and the warmth of the breath you exhale will keep you nose warm. You might want to read up on frostbite... it is indeed a bit like sun burn.

I was was once stuck in my car in the middle of no were -28c at 2am night time. No cars around. I only had casual clothes and 2% battery on my phone luckily I could call 112. Ode to the Wild North Continue, dear Dani, in this fantastic pursuit, For through your lens, the mute earth speaks, the silent skies salute. In the hush of the boreal realm, where whispers of winter's breath doth lie, Dani, your lens has captured more than the eye can spy. An epic saga unfolds in each frame, a dance of life and survival, Your avian portraits, a stunning revival. The eagles, regal and bold, in your grasp, they soar anew, Top-notch in every click, a testament to the view. A masterpiece you've woven, from the tapestry of the Nordic light, It held me captive, a visual delight. Through the drone's majestic eye, the landscape's enchantment you've spun, The harsh clime's beauty, under the low-hung sun. Birds, in their struggle, against the frost's embrace, And eagles, in snow's kingdom, their sovereign grace. A carcass lies silent, a tale in the forest's keep, Your discovery, a narrative deep. I stand, a true aficionado of the art you create, For nature, for wildlife, your work resonates. Continue, dear Dani, in this fantastic pursuit, For through your lens, the mute earth speaks, the silent skies salute.

Lovely as it is there. I was seeing golden eagles in a place called Strathconon in the Scottish Highlands in the 1970s. In recent years this has been used in the visit Scotland ads. So a little known glen I first visited when I was still at junior school has been mention in ads aimed at world wide travelers. The snowy white vista is indeed glorious in your video but there ae still very special unspoilt places in the UK, where majestic raptors like the golden eagle can be seen in their natural habitat. To put things in context I have seen things never shown in a nature documentary. I saw 2 golden eagles harassing a fawn and doe on a very steep mountain slope trying to get them to fall. A stag rushed to the defence of the herd members and the eagles flew off. Like your location these areas of the highlands have clear skies so are fantastic to see a great number of stars and the Aurora Borealis. Sometimes great treasure troves of nature ore a lot closer than you think.

I live in Norway, Innlandet(former Hedmark) and we have some cold winters with snow lasting from September/October to March/April and to help the wildlife where I live I do feed them when it gets bad, even tho it is illegal. I have a herd of Roe deer that are regulars when the snow is to deep for them to find anything to eat in the deep forest, so I have a spot under some big pine trees I put out different types of food for them, just making sure its food with some moisture in it as water is hard to come by in winter. same with birds, and I have a heated water source available.

Thankyou for not over dramatising the -37.C Having lived in the Arctic for some time now I cringe at these embarrassing KZfaq channels with pictures of men’s iced up beards and overly dramatic frozen tales. Quite honestly they are just making idiots of themselves. Life goes on as normal, nothing much changes. The house can cope with -50.c if it has too because it’s built to handle the cold. You heat up your car and go to work just like any other day. Sometimes your car is just too cold so you have to accept the day is being spent at home. You wear clothing according to the temperature. Life goes on as normally as possible 😊

Beautiful. Growing up in North Dakota, once the temperature dipped to a negative 20 fahrenheit, anything colder felt the same. I miss those cold, clear crisp mornings, when every step through the snow squeaked and you could hear it for a hundred or more yards. Being an octogenarian, I don't miss those experiences but feel blessed to have known them.

I assure you living in Minnesota the difference going from -45 degrees up to -20 degrees feels like springtime. So i do not think you know what you are talking about. I am rugged and can handle alot. Even walked 3 miles across town to get to class as those -45 temps lasted 2 straight weeks. Cause we do not cancel school just for low temps. That was the worst walk of my life. I would rather continue running marathons than walk 3 miles again in those temps.

You can lose your nose by frost bute thid way, using a scarf and vasseline on your face will save you from severe damages. Never use water based cream though as the ester will freeze the poord and youll lose parts of yiur face! Oilbased cream however works like a second skin and saves you from frost bites. Also refrain from washing your face with soap as this strips the natural oil from the skin. Just use cold water to eash your face instead. The natural oil in our skin is important to preserve in this extreme temperature, so avoid hot water as it removes the oil in your skin, it takes 3 days to build it up again so it's better to keep soap and hot water off your skin, especially your face. I learned these things when growing up in the north of Sweden and having to walk quite a distance to school in -30 C. 😅
