I read the book "Living by the Book" by Howard Hendricks, and I learned about the importance of observation, repetition, patterns, attention to geographic locations, characters, applications, and much more. I usually spend thirty days studying one book of the Bible applying all the things I learned from reading this book. Additionally, I learned about chiasmus. You can find the PDF for this book, and I guarantee you will never read your Bible the same way again.

Since Michal died childless (2 Samuel 6:23) and is nowhere spoken of as having been the wife of Adriel, some translators view the appearance of Michal’s name as a scribal error. However, the traditional explanation is that Merab, Michal’s older sister died early after having borne five sons to Adriel and that Michal thereafter undertook the bringing up of her sister’s five boys, thus resulting in their being spoke of as her sons. Isaac Leeser’s translation reads at 2 Samuel 21:8: “And the five sons of Michal the daughter of Saul, whom she had brought up for Adriel.”

What 1 Corinthians 15:29 REALLY means is this: Paul discusses the certainty of the resurrection. In this context, he states that spirit-anointed Christians are baptized or immersed, into a course of life that will lead to a death of integrity like that of Christ. Afterward, they will be raised to spirit life as Jesus was. This baptism includes trials similar to those faced by Jesus himself and often leads to a death like his. (1 Corinthians 15:30-34) These faithful anointed Christians have the hope of being resurrected to life in heaven. So this baptism seems related to the baptism mentioned by Jesus at Mark 10:38 and by Paul at Romans 6:3.
