+DawntreaderUK Normal drones can only produce thrust upwards so there are limitations to what they can do, they will always lose altitude when upside down. 3D is a term that comes from heli flying and refers to being able to do crazy maneuvers that use 3D space. When you are upside down pitch is reversed but roll and yaw remain the same. The throttle is also reversed as zero throttle is set to centre stick.

DawntreaderUK the difference is you can create reverse thrust or to say it another way gain altitude while inverted. Normally if you are inverted and give it full throttle the quad would smash into the ground. A 3d quad will gain altitude... Provided you move the throttle to the reverse position. Check out some 3d helicopter vids. Those pilots are amazing with los. I want to see a quad mow the grass like the helis do

Inverted flight is awesome I love to spice it in to give the illusion of more hang time in my flights. I don’t do center stick like Zoe though. I use 3D on a switch + TX mixers so in 3d mode I only have access to 0 to -100 and off 3d my stick resolution is -100 to 100. It means I have to use a switch to access negative thrust but allows me to never have to worry about 0 center stick Don’t know why others don’t do this!

As a 3D heli pilot for the last 8 years and now into multirotors this is something that definitely appeals to me, it's not the first one I've ever seen but you guys just make is so much more fun to watch. Great stuff.

Try knocking the resolution down a notch or two. Your internet is laggy due to whatever local reason....probably not sun spots :P

That was awesome Zoe. Very impressive. We need more ladies in the mix. You gave the guys a humbling, that's for sure. I love how the possibility with quads keeps expanding. You're a great ambassador for 3d mini quads, your attitude and personality are spot on for bringing more interest to the playground. Keep doin what you do. I really enjoyed this episode. This makes me so happy! I got into heli's because of 3D but had to get out because I couldn't afford it and my computer couldn't handle my simulator. I think these things will be so much fun flying 3D!
