Duuuuude this is exactly what I’m trying to build. I’m not a computer guy like you. I built something like this not close to what I want with a Lionel train and hardware store parts. What you have is what I want. I want to put boat hulls instead of a ride. I have the hulls. If you could build a 40x70x12 track at a smaller scale I’d pay you but your design for the track is exactly what I need. Thank you. I’ve been searching high and low and here it is. Thanks Charles

I can't like this enough. I've wanted nothing more than models of trains or coasters for my home office. PTC, Millennium Flyers, Magnum, B&M FloorlessI would fanboy over a Dragster train. And I know my fiancée would freak over a Disaster Transport shuttle. She used to work on the ride and I would love to use the wheel that we have as a base.

Incredible work! You may be able to use this as a stepping stone to other B&M Trains like standup, floorless, hyper, and flying, and if you do see if you can figure out why some have linkages connecting the two bogie's yaw, and some don't. Keep the models coming!

Dude this model is awesooooooome, i'm 21 and since a lot of years i'm tryin to build roller coaster models! I'd love to see something as simple as being able to switch the hard restraints for the newer vest restraints to be able to have a simple solution to make a Banshee train as well. Also gotta say that this could quickly turn into a mad obsession to see if my Gundam models can fit in the seats and if they can, keep going further to the point of making a full roller coaster that they can ride....

Awesome project! The amount of details & mechanical joints simply amazed me! As you mentioned in the video, so I'd like to share with you my current design and see if you can help me with a special train design. I'm a fully functional Vekoma MK1212 model train which will be placed in my office. The track is basically a LIM acceleration for 1.8 meters, to a 1 meter high loop, upwards vertically up and then goes backward. To implement the LIM system (as acceleration and deceleration) I'm using multiple sets of iron cores along with coils to generate a variable electromagnetic force controlled by an Adruino. Currently I'm focusing on the track chassis, rails and electronics. So I was wondering if you have some suitable design to a track layout / or can assist with a nice train design. Incredible work! I am a CGT graduate from Purdue in web design, and a rollercoaster enthusiast. I used CATIA briefly, but have never used SOLIDWORKS. Is it difficult to get started in 3D printing? I want to build a roller coaster model from scratch, not the Coaster Dynamix parts. I'm into the traditional coasters but this is really cool.. Are there any metal parts besides fasteners?

How do you know how you have to model it? I mean do you have bleuprints or so from the train!?

So, I'm trying to understand how the wheel bogey articulation works out. I see that each one individually rotates. So wouldn't the perpendicular distance between the bogey pairs decrease when you rotate them? So like, you turn them 90°, (not realistic I know) now they fit on a single rail rather than spanning the whole track. So I'm having trouble understanding an unbanked turn. I'm guessing there is enough play in the positioning of the guide wheels to account for this? But the road wheels would still be too narrow in the turn. Do they narrow the track in the turns? Or it is just negligible? Sorry for being wordy and hopefully my question makes sense

I have a roller coaster in NL. How much would it cost per cubic inch to print a 1:157 hyper coaster. 500-1000 or 10000+? I have no idea how any of this works. I just want to know if I should even start. Also how small can I make a train that will still have roll, yaw, and pitch and make it around the track smoothly?
