It is the part cooling. Everything else ist silent when not moving

The fan is on a PWM circuit it speeds up as needed.

bambu lab printers tend to be darned hecka loud. The A1 series has noise canceling capabilities which deal with the movement noise quite well but don't really touch the fan noise, at least to my ear. ANC doesn't seem to be in use here. Bambu Lab recently released an update for the X1 and P1 series that gives them ANC capability as well.

@@randomdude1rd1 Well that's a shame. I was hoping to pick up an A1 Mini to run as a silent printer, but my V3 SE is already a lot quieter than this A1.

@@blalesnail3098 bear in mind its noisey because its printing in ludicrous mode it has standard and silent modes which are slower and need less cooling so are much quieter

the clicking sorry i rewatched it to see what you meant its the retraction if you look at the little wheel with ken print on it it clicks each time it retracts

no its not really slower than pla its about the same

2 very different machines aimed at similar audiences i suppose it depends on what you want to print an enclosed printer is beneficial if not essential for certain plastics however if you are new to 3d printing and want to just print with minimal effort then the a1 is a great choice

I have an a1 and am loving it, if you’re gonna print exotic filament tho then it’s not gonna be good for you

ive 3 enclosed p1s models so the a1 was bought as a test to see how it compared and i love it

@@Kenprints I have an ender 3. I changed the hotend, extruder, cooling duct and installed bl touch but now i just spend more time fixing it than using it. i have only used pla and petg until now. how can i choose between the two?

@tunabbq6455 i have 2 ender 3 s1 pros that are in the shed now unused - the A1 wipes the floor with them

stock bambu petg profile which seems quite slow even when set on ludicrous as 166% of something slow os still pretty slow

i use bambu liquid glue on the print bed of the A1 as a precaution only - dont think its essential

@@Kenprintscool, i was going to order their liquid glue when i ordered the printer but they were out. I may check for it again. Have you had any adhesion issues with other prints when not using the glue? I've also thought about ordering the engineering plate, which i think requires the glue, but figured I'd try the plate that it came with first. Thanks

@BennyTygohome i use the glue when im doing longer prints just as a precaution last thing u want it it lifting off the print bed and i rarely have adhesion issues

@@Kenprints My first printer is the Flashforge Adventurer 5M Pro and never seem to need glue and so far its been a great 3d printer for everything I need. Just got the A1 Mini and also have the A1 being shipped. I've dived head first into the hobby. I have a 3d background so most of the process has been pretty easy transition.

dont seem to have adhesion issues with the bambu stuff so far but when a print is going to take 10 hours or so it never hurts - also in the even of a powercut if the bed goes cold the item is still reasonably well attached to the bed so more chance of completing the print successfully but yea i love my A1 and the other bambu stuff - looking forward to the next release

@@Kenprints but your description says ludicrous mode which I thought meant really fast mode. And I thought this was vase mode so I cant see why it is jumping every layer.

@@mrfoameruk you are correct its not vase mode on this partiular one - previous ones i had printed were vase mode i checked again and theres a seam up the back indicating its not vase mode - something must have changed between the previous printed rockets and this final video as i had printed quite a few items yesterday in this petg
