3DLabPrint WACO - Maiden Flight

2 жыл бұрынThis is a short video of the maiden flight. Sorry for the wide angle lens in the camera, the Waco is barely visible.
I like this 3DLabPrint WACO, it flies very well! Mine is a bit heavy at 3660g but that's not noticeable at all. It can still be flown quite slowly. It also has more than enough power to go crazy. ;)
With the 4500mAh Lipo and flying gently the total flight time is more than 10 minutes.
I'll replace the 3D printed wheels with purchasable ones because the PLA rims wear out quickly. Also, I used too soft steel for the tail wheel. It bends very easily so I have to reprint the rudder and glue in springsteel.
It's printed with normal PLA

1 1/2 Monate daran gedruckt. Aber hat sich wirklich gelohnt. Sie fliegt wunderbar.

Yes it looks strange but it's pretty far away. What makes me more nervous is that💩cornfield. The next few days it will be finally harvested.

@@SuperJayJoe Once it took five of us whole afternoon to find a gasser that fell in tall grass. I feel you.

@@t3hav8r We lost a plane once in the corn that we never did find. The farmer found it at harvest and brought it back to us. It was mostly ruined by then but neat to get it back.

What PLA Brand did you use? I like the color scheme although it would make me nervous in terms of visibility.

The PLA is from material4print (Germany). I had no problems with the visibility. The attitude is always clearly visible, even a little further away.
