This was our first big road trip in our Tesla, and our first "real" video! We drove across the country and back in our Tesla Model 3. We used FSD, Full Self Driving, for most of the driving on this trip.
Embark on an unforgettable journey with us as we take our Tesla Model 3 on a road trip down the legendary Route 66 during a winter storm that struck the midwest! We used the Full Self Driving and Autopilot features of the Tesla Model 3 throughout the road trip and found it incredibly easy and convenient to use. The supercharging network was also very reliable and easy to use, which made the road trip even more enjoyable.
We'll also share tips and insights on how to plan your own electric car road trip, including where to find charging stations and how to plan your route. Excellent video. My wife & I are planning a road trip from the east coast to Phoenix AZ in 2024 with our M3 RWD and will be travelling on the St. Louis to Flagstaff portion of your trip. Really enjoyed your coverage of the Supercharger stops and what facilities were handy as well as some of the attractions you visited.

I did a road trip in my Model Y in August from Vegas back to NJ and took this same exact route and stopped at just about every charger you did! But I continued east after Tulsa. I wish I saw that Rt66 passport, that would have been cool to have. If anyone ever drives this route I also recommend spending the night in Gallup at El Rancho hotel. It's a gorgeous historic hotel that was featured on an episode of Ghost Adventures. Great video, guys.

I recently rented a Model Y from Hertz while on vacation in Arizona, and we went to Vegas for a couple of days, so it was fun seeing those early stops! We stopped in Kingman twice, and we stayed at that hotel in Flagstaff and it still took me forever to find that Supercharger! lol

Great trip video, you two make a great couple, just subscribed to your channel and will be looking forward for what you have to share in the future, it’s great to know your both in some kind in the medical field, my wife and I are retired from the Seattle area and moved to NW of Centennial here in Vegas for a year now My wife and I made the same road trip back in April just to Tulsa area where I’m from originally, I remember swimming in the pond where the blue whale in the 70’s but anyway next time you go that way stop in Claremore Ok there’s the Will Rogers memorial museum, eat at the Hammett House restaurant then if you have time visit one of the world’s largest gun museum, just a thought 😊

The first charger at the Burger King was a 150kw. The 250kw have a much thinner cable. It’s noticeable.

Good catch. That was a 12 station charger, 4 150’s and 8 250’s. We actually switched chargers but didn’t include it in the video. You may also notice she didn’t plug it in all the way, that’s how I knew had to get back out and switch when I checked my app 😂

That BK in Holbrook wouldn't let us use the bathroom. They said paying customers only. We had to go across the street to that nasty gas station

Great video by the way. We travel a lot that exact trip so it was cool seeing it again. Tesla road trip wasn't for us. 15 hours of charging wasn't worth it. It's gas travel for us. Didn't save much in the tesla either.
