Did you know that 4 corporations control the majority of the luxury goods world. From Swiss watches, German watches, high end clothing, accessories, and even adult beverages, all of the proceeds are funneling back to the same investors and investment companies.
With watches, there are many choices. There a sports watches, dress watches, affordable watches, and high end ultra luxury watches. The market and the content displays rich history in the brands and the difference between them. Though, did you know many of them owned together are actually using same parts, components, and even assembly houses. Of course, these watches are all high quality, though interesting to see. The watch industry breakdown is included !
In designer clothes, there is also a similar phenomenon. Brands like Gucci, Louis Vuitton, and even the lesser known brands like Loro Piana, are all distributed and held by the same companies. Sure, there will be differences. This Gucci may become a little more "young" in their offerings to pair with the upswing of newer buyers, while brands such as Fendi, Givenchy, or even Dior, may cater to perhaps a more loyal base.
Between Richemont, LVMH, Kering, and Swatch, you can name endless brands like Jaeger Lecoultre, Omega, Tag Heuer, Zenith, Hublot, and on and on. Though notice- Rolex is not on the list ! haha- had to.
