This is the summary of an excerpt from Marie Forleo's interview with Tony Robbins
Check out the full 38 minute interview on Marie's channel here:
• Tony Robbins On Money:...
In this 3 minute video, we look at 4 important points about investing Tony Robbins talks about:
[1] START right away
-Get started ASAP. The sooner you start, the more you will have. Even a small consistent investment can turn into a huge sum of money
[2] AUTOMATE your investing
-Learn how to set up systems to where the moment you earn money, a percentage of it goes to your investments before you even get a chance to spend it
[3] BE CAREFUL with Mutual Funds
-Mutual funds claim to be able to take your money and beat the market, giving you huge profits. However, only 4% of Mutual Funds do so. Anyone claiming to be able to beat the market is probably full of crap
[4] FEES COMPOUND
-Just like your investments will compound, making your investments huge over time, so will fees. Having a 1% fee versus a a 3% fee can mean 77% less money over the long term

I’m glad I pulled through, despite the crises. I am retiring next yr at 55 with 3 houses paid off worth 4.5 million . One is my place of residence the other 2 properties will give me $80,000per/yr rent . I will have an income stream of $20,000 per yr through my super which gives me total $100,000 a yr to live comfortably . I have no debts ... Stay Motivated!!

Like Warren Buffet said, dividends are only good if the business you’re investing into can’t make good use of that capital. So if you’re trying to invest into businesses with actual growth, looking at dividends is a waste of time. Why are you investing into a company if they’re returning capital to you because they think you can make better use if it than they can. It’s not much different from bond investing. The way I see it if you have a $1 million at some point, that’d be enough to create a portfolio that would pay you between 50k-70k in dividend income...

It's not difficult, but you have to learn and handle. Another thing is that if you can't manage your home, maybe you shouldn't invest on your own. If so, you should hire a CFP to help you diversify your assets to include ETFs/index funds/mutual funds and stocks of companies with consistent cash flows, rather than betting on penny stocks.

@@Harperrr.99 A lot of folks downplay the role of advisors until being burnt by their own emotions. I remember couple summers back, after my lengthy divorce, I needed a good boost to help my business stay afloat, hence I researched for license advisors and came across someone of due diligence, helped a lot to grow my reserve notwithstanding inflation, from $275k to approx. $850k so far.

@@corrySledd Over the following 3 months, I want to increase my reserve from $280,000 to at least $550,000. I would be grateful for any advice you can give on how to accurately predict the market and how to diversify and balance my portfolio in order to accomplish my goal.

1.Save money and then invest it. 2.Use index funds instead of mutual funds 3.Mutual funds taxes are very high and compound. (about 3%)compared to almost no fees good index funds 4.Mutual funds win when you lose, when you win and when you re flat.

l am one of the Victims. At first, the software seemed to be really professional and authentic I found many favorable reviews about its performance and delivered results. So, I decided to invest in it and try to achieve success in the online trading sphere. Soon, I realized that the software was swallowing all my investments. Brokers are nothing more than a dangerous and fraudulent platform. I invested over $ 140,000 and couldn't withdraw my money, months passed and still nothing So, I reached out to Jena Elizabeth to help me recover my funds, I have been able to recover $ 100,000 and the remaining $ 40,000 is in progress. I really can't tell how happy I am. Contact her via mail: jenaelizabeth6@gmail.com

Thanks for the good summary! Now is the perfect time to start buying stocks and crypto( BTC, ETH,) if you are just being introduced.. I really wish I started earlier. I’m learning this doesn’t have to be as complicated as some people make it out to be. Thanks to Kristina Manns Program for helping me get into her trading platform and investing guidelines. Investing and trading are more than just having TA skills. There is a big component of discipline and emotional maturity, that one has to work on! Time in the market vs. timing the market. If you keep that mentality as an investor, you will stay calm during the storm! Within some months I was making a lot more money and have continued on that same path with Kristy.

People with peanuts to invest will pay $15 for a book they’ll barely read once, but say an adviser who has to service them yearly charges too much. What he doesn’t tell you is that index funds aren’t entirely passive. And the buy high sell low logic behind them is contrary to every successful investment principle. They only perform in an environment of quantitative easing, where stocks are the new bond proxies. And value underperforms momentum in just this type of scenario, where momentum rules but at horrendous levels of risk. If you bought a Nikkei tracker in 1990, you’d have made no money ever. If you buy an S&P500 tracker and the market falls 40% like 2008, you could wait a decade to see any return. You can’t compound nothing. Keep punting passive. It’s what’s adding instability to markets, widening valuation gaps and it’s what will make the active managers and their clients very very wealthy. People who work at Vanguard use their mutual funds, not the trackers. Warren Buffett would be driving his old car out of necessity, not choice if he’d started with index funds. But yes, good behavior is key. Even cheap, lame funds might look after you if you put in years of early dedicated investment. But don’t you deserve more if that’s the case?

My problem is: if it is this easy, why is not everyone doing it, and when everyone is doing it. It cant possibly work because then like 50% of stocks would be owned by passive investors not voting or steering compagnies so you have 50% of dead capitol in the market?

His example concerning the fees is principally right, but his math is wrong. Both get an interest of 7% per year, while one person pays 1% in fees (6% interest left) and the other person pays 3% in fees (4% left). Person 1: $100k * 1.06^30 = $575k after 30 years
