# 2… The only exception/twist to this would be the Justified Bully. Where we may or may not condone their actions at the start… Though once we learn their motivation, & hopefully they open up about it, it leads to better after the rough start. Personally, I would appreciate at least an apology for their actions if it did harm anyone. And I wouldn’t mind inclusion of Therapy of some sort optional for less morally grey characters. Unless it’s significant for their arc &/or plot, then yes, do include Therapy! Post-session, it can become a minor to a major redemption prompt that writes itself. Ex 1: Princess Tutu’s Fakir; a beloved Anime series that gets pretty (not grim) dark & existential, despite the cute character designs. Ex 2: Zukko from Avatar The Last Airbender… one of the best slow boil redemptions fiction has offered.

Before I watched the video, I had anxiety that I might have used one of the traits without realizing it. 😂 Turns out I have a bully character in my historical novel Under the Pomegranate Tree who has a tragic back story, but he's not a romantic partner and I don't soften my language about his abuse. I can't stand male characters who don't have any emotional capabilities, but are suddenly capable of true love.

The rich guy: damn, it's a cliche. Why it's still a thing. The abuser: why is this a thing? I'd call the 'he's good looking, so everything should be forgiven." My most hatee trope (especially this sub trope) The athlete: umm... didn't encounter athletes enough... but some are cocky. The businessman: I admit I used it, but he was the devil 😇

I dont find business people or their lives that interesting because I dont find business that interesting. More like soul crushing. Id rather read about literally everything else there is in life lol.

We want more strong male protagonists. Seems like today’s media in Hollywood hate strongmen. I mean look at the marvel movies. And there are so many strong female protagonist in video games which are boring and non-realistic. Thank God. I still have Batman movies to watch.
