I have 2 pov in mine and it is already a lot though its a great way to make what is basic to one character very grand from the narrative of another

No More Dead Dogs by Gordan Korman is written in multiple points of views. Each chapter is narrated by someone different. There are mainly 4 that we jump between. And they each have a different flavor, speech and style. It's all very well written.

I really appreciate your videos. I haven't seen them in a while because I've been watching a lot of long form content one day you should really do a huge FAQ on writing advice that would be awesome. For people like me that have to be stuck in a cart and driving around for hours something to listen to would be awesome. But I once asked the author about head hopping in different point of views and they strongly advised against it. Which kind of took away from my morale and wanting to write it. But I like the fact that you present the style of writing in a way where you say there are do's and don'ts. You're not saying that you shouldn't do it completely. Definitely possible you just must take caution which I can appreciate

In the first draft, I have about twenty, giving almost everyone at least one POV chapter. It's not working too well though, as several of them don't have don't have much of a character arc and are mainly part of a group. I could have given them more background, but that wouldn't add much to the plot or would give away informations too early. So I looked which chapters could be moved to other characters' POV. Now I'm rewriting the story, and while the characters all remain in it, only four get POV. (I also added a prologue with a fifth POV character, who dies two years before the main story starts.) I also thought about reducing it to a single POV and write in 1st person.. But even though this character could have gotten all the information about scenes he isn't in afterwards and imagine some details, there would have been too much of 1st person omniscient POV mixed into it. Alternative, using just two characters' POV is possible, but that would take away the main idea behind what looks like a thriller.

Multiple Point of Views are necessary, and without them, we’d only focus on one character, and a story would feel a bit boring.
