like there wasnt enough shit books made by actual authors.. now we will have millions of ai books... the thing is to be a writer takes a finite number of skills.. so if you leave some of those aspects to ai.. then your not a true author or writer...

Currently trying to write a fanfic that’s basically the backstory of the game The Legend of Zelda: Breath of the Wild, and obviously, that’s a tragic ending. I came to this video hoping to get some advice and I couldn’t believe it when I saw your copy of Creating a Champion in the background! 😸 I hope to learn more about writing so I can make this project a good story.

How exactly should the character arcs be written given each of these story themes?

I also think of method of the torture scene is to dive into the characters emotions and sensations of the gruesome torture. As in- Sweat dripped down Connor’s temples as he could no longer control his breathing. His heart raced forcefully through his chest. However, he refused to comply. He refused although the blade set on finger. The man who they called the Reaper murmured. “You know nothing?” His wife’s face flashed before his eyes. Connor knew one day, things could end like this in his line of work. Death before dishonor. “Hmph.” The Reaper gave a slight nod. He felt the sharp blade lift. He looked away. He held his breath. His body grew hot. The butcher knife flew back down slicing his finger off. Connor gasped. Then the sudden, explosive pain hit as he yelled out in agony. He felt nauseous. He felt dizzy. But as the adrenaline kicked in, he grew angry. A grin creeped onto the Reaper’s face. Connor dreaded that this was only the beginning.

Unless the story takes place in a very remote location, the character or characters with POV will cross path with dozens, maybe hundreds of people. Who does, in the way the question is meant, count as a character?

Honestly, this is the reason why I H A T E my writing so much. I swear to God, no matter what I write, it always ends up as fluff. Its like im always condemned to write 3rd rate pieces.

Ideas ChatGPT to help me with some conversations between characters As someone who is writing their first sci-fi fantasy book. I have had ChatGPT help me with certain parts of the story. I've used some of what ChatGPT give exactly as it wrote it, but since my world is an underwater Mermaid, I had to change ChatGPT wrote cuz it wrote as if the characters were humans when I told it they were mermaids I've also asked me to describe certain places and environments in my world . My story is set in an underwater mermaid society that resembles a human society. Sometimes, ChatGPT can help me with a conversation between a character and another character As I am writing my first book I'm not an expert in writing realistic conversations, but I haven been able to write some realistic conversations I give ChatGPT I wrote then ask what the to the character who is talking Sometimes, I use it as it wrote other times I have to edit I've been hoing in between in parts to make sure that there is original writing form me as well But since this is my first foray into sci-fi fantasy or fiction in general, I need help with writing. ChatGPT has helped me to create intricate detailed settings for my underwater mermaid world

It has been YEARS since I’ve watched one of your videos (back when there were like 15 people on your discord server😂) and I’m so glad I clicked on this one. First of all, I am so happy for you - congratulations on the pregnancy- that’s so lovely! As per usual, you’re still glowing 🎉 Second of all, I think this video is a literal miracle for me right now. For the past three years I’ve been in a writing block and I’ve gotten really depressed because of it. It sounds so pathetic to say I couldn’t write, because all my life I was “the writer” (literally as you put it). When I picked up a totally different major, I literally decided to not call myself a writer or an artist anymore. Just a student, a friend, a sister, a daughter, etc. I said to myself, I want to be able to live so I can experience for what I write. Yeah, that was so bullshit lol. Recently (as in the past few months), I’ve tried little by little to get back to drafting up some stuff - a little bit of fanfic here and there, some plot to a script I’ve had in my head - nothing crazy. But I MISS the young girl who had so much PASSION in her. I miss that love, that thrill I got when I wrote. Perhaps, I might get it back, perhaps not. Maybe I just need to make a new relationship with writing that will attach me so securely to the act as it once did when I was younger. I hope so ❤ Thank you again for this wonderful video ❤❤❤ Wishing you only the absolute best!!

I only started writing this year because video games became boring for me at the end of last. This channel has been such a great help. Tbh I still kinda feel like an outsider because my whole life I was always like "I'm not a creative type. I like science". But now I want to write at least 9 stories lol tho idk if they will all be novels. Rn I'm editing my 1st novella and by the end it may be 60k+ word novel. We shall see after future edits, post beta reading

I have been writing for about 10 years just for my own enjoyment now i am working on one i want to get self published i still love the writing but now i'm more conscious of word count and all that stuff but still having fun im working on a middle grade story it has that childhood magic of country living that seems to be lost in today's wold have no idea if it will sell well but i am having fun writing it

I have not published my book yet, but I have been learning plenty of things that improved my ideas. If I had published, I wouldn’t come up with details that feels fitting. For instance: • Main character learns different fighting styles with different advantages, even know how military stuff works. • Main Villain can be cartoony, yet, a bit believable if the motivation and concept can make sense. It takes so much time to research before readying myself to write, and I took a lot of time developing my characters while maintaining what I found from the internet.

Side characters can ruin a story, but they can also make the story interesting in the first place. Maybe I don't care for your main characters and the plot seems to be nothing special. And still there are some characters whom I like, with whom I empathize and whose story I find interesting. They may be side characters to you, but main characters to me. The fact that I don't know how long they will last can add suspense. Maybe they get unceremoniously killed or just disappear after a few chapters. Maybe they are more important than originally thought and their role grows over the course of the book. Who knows?
