Hmmm, I have mixed feelings about that actually. I would have preferred to be raised by adoptive parents who truly wanted, loved and guided me, as opposed to having had parents who got married because they “had to” and raised you because they felt obligated and had no other choice…. I speak from experience as someone whose mother was definitely not ready to have children at age 19 and saw them as a burden, not as a joyful gift or a privilege. And now I see how she goes on and on about my cousin’s baby, when I know she didn’t feel the same way about her own children. You can see it in the photos of her with us when we were babies. She looks sad and miserable… My cousin, on the other hand, was adopted by my uncle and his wife who absolutely adored him and as both were teachers, they helped him significantly with his education, whereas I was a latch key kid whose parents separated when I was 13 and split me up from my brother and childhood neighborhood as well.

For some reason, we think that fathers don’t care as much for their children as mums do, but these shows prove that even the biggest man cares deeply. We should always consider dads as equal to mums in terms of love.💜💜💜. Love this show so much. I’m always grateful that I had my family all my life.💜💜💜

My 14 year old 2nd cousin found out her older sister was her mother. They were at a family funeral and one of the great aunts, suffering from early dementia, thought she was talking with the "older sister" and started talking about when she had the baby at a very young age. My cousin did not take it well.

I would like to know if these relationships continued on. The ones that didn't work out. Both. I see that you do tell us the good stuff but like Kees, we didn't know why his daughter told him to stay away from them. You should do stories on how they are getting along. These stories are tear jerkers but I would like to see if they worked out. One doesn't pick up where they left off without surprises or changes. These episodes leave me wondering.

Turns out my bio dad was actually a close family friends husband at that time. I have a half brother who is 10 years older and i had a sister who wouldve been 6 years older but passed when she was 9. Although unlike this girl my bio dad didnt know i was his his family didnt either they questioned it but my mom lied and said it wasnt possible

This popped up and I watched it, not sure why. I have a side of my family in Italy I always wanted to know. The family I have here was close but over the years they faded away. We were always a troubled family (the 3 of us) with not much money so we couldn't do lots of the things the rest of them could so we were left out of lots of things. I'm not sure what is worse, being adopted and not knowing your family or knowing your family and they couldn't be bothered if you existed or not. I never had a father (or a non abusive one) so the episodes about dads just don't have much of an effect on me.

@louisegogel7973
@louisegogel7973 3 жыл бұрын
Can you find out little clues about him... how old were they when they were together, what did they do together aside from create you, what did he love in life, why does she not want to tell you more, is she trying to forget him or protect you or.... see how many different questions you can come up with and pick moments when she is more open to ask some of them. Have you your birth document? If you were born in a hospital, contact the hospital for birth records and parental information. If there is a family doctor or any relative of your mother you can speak with, they also might have small clues... start a notebook with every snippet you get, when you got it, how you found it, who you spoke with, what was said.... every minute detail... even the feeling you get when speaking to someone about it, their facial expressions and voice. Maybe you could also post on social media your mother’s name and ask for clues to who your father might be.... but use your wits when receiving responses, be cautious and skeptical as well as open minded. I wish you the smoothest interviewing with your mother and best of luck. ,
