Heyyy an update. I just bought these the other day for my new house. Can't wait to hook them up and get my network situated. Bought some 2.5gb switches as well to pair with this so I can hardwire the home 😍

Hi, nice video.! I have a question I’m using the GT-AXE11000 as my main router and I have 2 ZenWifi pro ET12 as my nodes I have them wired for the backhaul but I often get disconnections on the nodes I get the blue blinking light. For the wire to connect them I used Cat8 , I called Asus and no luck I keep getting people out of USA and they haven’t been able to help me. What should I do ?

I believe they have just realised information on the new Asus Mesh systems which have WiFi 7 but they are mid range models. But still look very capable.

If you are able to afford the price, the Asus ROG GT-AXE16000 is the best router I have tested. The specifications and features will make sure it last years and will handle nearly everything.

Great router, but I wouldn't say it's future-proof. No wifi 7...

True, but will be still good for years. As WiFi 7 devices are starting to come through there is only a few.

I'd like to keep using my Xfinity Gateway as the main router. The first Asus unit (Home unit) will be wired directly to the Xfinity Gateway on the WAN port and and the other one will be wirelessly connected to that one. My question is what mode do I put the two Asus units in? My choices for set up are: Wireless router mode AiMesh Router mode (Default) Access Point(AP) mode AiMesh Router in AP mode Repeater mode Media Bridge AiMesh Node I'm thinking the Home unit would be in Access Point (AP) mode and the wirelessly connected 2nd Asus would be in Aimesh Node mode, but I'm open to suggestions. Thanks!

Can you use Asus routers like the axe16000 and add it to the mesh ? I know TP-Link routers will not mesh
@EclipseReviews
@EclipseReviews Жыл бұрын
As long as the Asus router supports AiMesh then you can connect them together. To note is that the slowest WiFi router in the mesh may slow the faster routers down.

I love the system, but keep running into problems when trying to change the DNS. It loses the internet connection, no matter which DNS provider info I use. Thoughts?

Still unsure between the Amplifi Alien (Which seems to have the better software, but is technically older). Or the Asus ET12. On the other hand an ASUS gaming router like their new quadband version offers much more configuration options. Not that I want a RGB LED router but those do indeed have many options and features not present on their regular routers
@EclipseReviews
@EclipseReviews Жыл бұрын
I looked at getting the Amplifi as well, as looked cool and I like there software they use to configure the settings. But this is a bit older now and I prefered the Asus, as is more future proof and quicker for WiFi and ethernet.

Yes they are still stable and I have the AXE16000 within the Ai Mesh system. Not had any issues with speed, and only need to reboot them twice over the months.

Hi, thanks for great videos. I just received my set today. I just connect them but i figure out I am not able to use 6E Wi-Fi with my laptop. I have Dell Precision 7760 with card Intel Wi-Fi 6E AX210 160MHz. Routers are connect using ethernet 6 backhaul, so that 6Ghz is configured as the third network, but laptop cannot see it :(
@EclipseReviews

I did have an issue with the 6Ghz frequency on Windows 11, how I got around it was manually adding the WiFi network guide is here for Win 11 (they also have a Win 10 guide): pureinfotech.com/add-wifi-network-connection-windows-11/

I have been using ethernet backhaul, but did test WiFi for a month and worked fine speeds were still really good. I was using the 6Ghx band as the backhaul and have one WiFi 6e device connected and was still super quick.

Our house phone is through the internet modem also unfortunately. The downside is that is an old discontinued one. Only DOCSIS 3.0 the highest the company supports:( and needed to reach the suppled advertised speed we pay for . 460mgps. The next tier is fiber at 1 g . But I don’t want to pay for it. Anyway keep up the good work

I bought the Asus ET12 Pro recently and it's been the most expensive mistake I've made! The system is extremely unstable and crashes if any of the protection features are switched on! The reviewer (same as a lot of others) clearly doesn't test these systems long enough so he wouldn't know about this issue. I'm now stuck with going back and forth with Asus support trying to get a full refund. Asus support aren't even able to understand why this keeps happening due to the very poor error reporting of this router. It doesn't even generate any logs when the crash happens! Stay well away from this system!

I have been using mine for well over a year. Your sounds faulty if protection features are switched on and it crashes, normally a firmware update or factory reset does the trick. Sorry you had to go through the stress of it not working.

Do you never worry about the dangers of increasing all these waves in your home (cancer and radiations)? I heard stories (that could be FUD made up by phone companies to stop people, who knows the real truth) of using mobile phone boosters, so is creating such a powerful mesh possibly also bad for health?
@amxboxer
@amxboxer Жыл бұрын
WiFi belongs to the category of radio waves, and these electromagnetic waves are non-ionising, just like visible light. Meaning they don't have enough energy to excite atoms to the point that molecular structures would get damaged. You might as well worry about getting cancer from light bulbs

The frequencies and power levels used are completely harmless, do you own a microwave? if so, you're already receiving much stronger RF waves.
