ASUS ZenWiFi Pro XT12 AX11000 Wi-Fi 6 Tri band Mesh System Setup & Review
In this video we take a close look at the Asus Zenwifi Pro XT12 AX11000 Tri band Wi-Fi 6 Mesh System.
I do an unboxing, explain what's included and then show how to set up the system using the Asus router app.
I then speak about how this mesh system has been for us over the last six weeks. I finish the video by showing a speed test using my Samsung galaxy S21 Ultra.

Great review! One question: do you setup the Asus Router as IP Passthrough (turn off firewall, wifi in the provider modem/router) or just turnoff the wifi in the modem/router only?

Great review. Please can you explain why the Virgin Hub must be put into Modem mode? I bought the Asus XT9 mesh system recently and could not get it to work with the hub in modem mode so my hub currently still in normal router mode connected by a LAN cable to the main XT9 node via an ethernet switch. It seems to be working quite well but my phone doesn't switch to one of the two satellitte nodes when I roam into another room.

It does still work however for better performance you're better off putting the Hub into modem mode. Did you switch the Hub off after you put it into modem mode?

Great review brother. May I ask you two questions: 1) does the node needs to be connected with cable or can be connected with WiFi with the main main node? 2) does this router support PPPoE protocol?

You can use cable or WiFi. Yes it does support PPPOE.

I’ve actually got a single unit of the GT6, review coming soon. However to say you time and money, in my opinion stay away from the GT6 it has RAM issues.

Do you know if it's possible to keep the VM hub as a router whilst setting up mesh routers to be additional nodes only?

Yes because that will be your router.

You need to go into the hubs settings, Google it or check on KZfaq hub 3, 4 and 5 all the same.

Depends on the device, easily over 500 if I’m using a WiFi 6 device.

I am hoping to get some xmas money instead of xmas socks/pants and get this in the new year!! i only need one. BTW did you not consider the Asus XT8/XT9? similar spec but cheaper.

I did a lot of research before getting this, the main reason I went for this system, good range and it has a better processor. Hopefully it will last for a while.

@7:52 having your phone that close to the router is giving me anxiety, always try to keep a minimum of 1 metre distance between each wifi/RF enabled device. it might look cool to lean your phone against your new router, but you are actually creating interference and slowing down your actions
