Have you been considering trying a new genre of photography? Something that’s really easy to get into and budget friendly? Or maybe you’re looking for a new fun hobby to get into. Then I think macro photography is the perfect genre for you to give a try. In this video I’m going to give you 4 reasons why I think you should give macro photography a try.

I think all photographers should give macro a try due to its accessibility , and also the sheer amount of interesting subjects all over to find!

I have to say thank you, I'm sixty years old now and been a photographer all my life, I've never really done macro, after watching a couple of your films you've made me realise a few things and of course you are right, what better way to learn about the creatures where we live! I will definitely be giving it a go. Thanks for the inspiration!

Those are great points about macro. I started last year and it it added a huge new dimension for wildlife photography. If I'm not seeing hawks, owls, eagles, or herons, I'm doing reptiles, frogs, salamanders and bugs with the macro lens. Spring, summer, and fall are my favorite times because I can do either right away.

Thank you very much for this video Trey. May I ask how you manage to get such great pictures with ISO 1000? I can't see any noise at all in your images. Thank you!

Thank you. In photoshop I apply noise and color noise reduction and that helps
