Advanced Guided Breathing - 4 rounds:
round 1) 35 breaths + holding your breath for 2 min 30s
round 2) 35 breaths + holding your breath for 2 min 30s
round 3) 35 breaths + holding your breath for 3 minutes
round 4) 35 breaths + holding your breath for 2 min 30s
+ 5 min Meditation

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Inhale through the nose or mouth and exhale through the mouth letting the air out. Keep a steady pace and use your midriff fully. Repeat this for 35 times.
2) Then let the air out and hold for as long as you can without force. Hold the breath until you experience the gasp reflex.
3) Inhale to full capacity. Feel your chest expanding. When you are at full capacity, hold the breath for around 10 ~ 15 seconds.
Repeat this process for 4 times!
*Do not do this practice before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or any other environment/place where it might be dangerous to faint!

Don't follow the breath counter just do the number of breaths at your own pace.

has any1 some advice to increase my breathhold. ive never been able to hold for longer then 3mins.

I think that you should relax, try to really don't think about you are trying to resist, instead try to enjoy in a peaceful way the breath holding, to feel all the peace in your body. In some moment after the 3 minutes it's like you loose your conscience and you just keep going and going, and it's not your mind trying to resist, you just are doing it. This it's my metod and I usually reach 4.30 minutes

@@Florlee619 Yes, I find that is so true. Some mornings I find that in a successive round, I’m not getting as long a breath hold. I realise then that it’s a bit of tension or resistance… fear, even, of the mind. Once I calm down and stop concerning myself about time, and concentrating on nothing other than the peace and relaxation I’m feeling, then I’m good to go for longer again.
