Breathing method instructions - 4 rounds:
round 1) 40 breaths + holding your breath for 2 minutes
round 2) 40 breaths + holding your breath for 2 minutes
round 3) 40 breaths + holding your breath for 2 min 30s
round 4) 40 breaths + holding your breath for 3 minutes

INSTRUCTIONS:
1) Inhale through the nose or mouth and exhale through the mouth letting the air out. Keep a steady pace and use your midriff fully. Repeat this for 40 times.
2) Then let the air out and hold for as long as you can without force. Hold the breath until you experience the gasp reflex.
3) Inhale to full capacity. Feel your chest expanding. When you are at full capacity, hold the breath for around 10 ~ 15 seconds.
Repeat this process for 4 times!
Enjoy & have fun!
*Do not do this practice before or during diving, driving, swimming, taking a bath or any other environment/place where it might be dangerous to faint!

Could this breathing cure my lungs? I was diagnosed with Emphysema many years ago & started coughing on the last round. My impression was that my lungs had finally admitted defeat & that FINALLY they were cleared of liquid!

Great! New to me & the added meditation is a great plus as it's part of my fight back to life. Chronic Pain from inactivity due to Lockdown & OsteoArthritis trying to avoid hip replacement surgery. Thank you!

This is a good one. I'd been using your other video with 4 rounds and the same holds but the addition after of the 10 minutes is perfect. The background sounds are very relaxing too, good pick! My morning routine for the past few months has been yoga immediately followed by this, and then meditation. Great way to start the day and cope with the stress of corona affecting our lives

This one 👌 felt easy after two days off after having covid vaccine doing my bit and all 🙄 I am very curious as to how many people on here doing these excersises have infact been affected by covid 19 or could this keep you from harm would love to know 🙏

I did it with delta, and my coughing got waaaay better after a few times. With breathing i havent any problems

We like it but is there a reason why some breaths are faster than others ? Sometimes they are fast and then next round slow but then speeds up again .Love the new book Wim

I think first 8 are slower to help doing deeper diaphragm inhales (belly first, then the chest) and they pick up speed after to get into a rhythm. That's how I see it, a deep slow start.

Did it like usual in the morning. However this morning 18 he’s after the second Covid shot. Had never felt before muscle contraction all through the body… anybody with similar experience?

Can someone explain the process pf tapping into the brain stem. That's the part that i don't understand.

Hey, Tony! The brain stem is sensitive to carbon dioxide. Having too much carbon dioxide in the blood will trigger your brain stem to breathe. By removing carbon dioxide from the blood through deep breathing, this impulse to breathe from the brain stem is lowered. So... after some rounds, you can kind of "tapping into the brain stem" as Wim says. Cheers!

Wim Hof can hold his breath for 10 minutes. It's tremendous lung capacity, anything over 2 minutes is great. Can you reall hold your breath 8 MINUTES? It's not normal , it's extraordinary!
