Some people are 'playing' you, they want a relationship but also want to keep you on a string. I guess you could call it a 'one-way' relationship, you give and they take.

The #3 is so much like my previous relationship. I was studying that time for my board and had a relationship with a non-Christian guy who became open in reading the Bible with me. Too much drama happened because he doesn't understand why I sinned in my past and I cannot sin anymore. It was hard for me to concentrate on studying and having a drama with him at the same time. its either he slows me down with my calling or dragging me down to a sinful world. With everyday arguments and no development for sure, it's a waste of time.

Was in the same situation. He didn’t follow Jesus the way I did, I had a guy friend who I kind of liked. He was open to going to church and watching sermons but he didn’t do it on his own. There was drama, I was constantly feeling crazy and also other red flags like him opening a beer in my car before a movie. He also mentioned marriage towards me fast within a little after a month and kids he could see it. I did love him as a friend and someone I deeply cared for. Anyway, I feel this. Lots of drama and his comments about sugar moms and picking on me a lot wasn’t cute to me or made me feel beautiful. I feel the man God has for me will already have his own relationship by himself and not FOR ME. Anyway, there was lots of Chaos and confusion, even thought that when I mentioned God was using me to help people it was like witchcraft to him. He was slowing me down, and also trying to show signs of gaslighting and deflecting. And I was already still coming out of a previous abusive situation. It does hurt cause I liked him and he was my bestfriend I still miss him. But the drama was so much.. thanks for sharing it helps me realize I’m not alone. I couldn’t keep him around because we already had kissed and stuff and I can’t have feelings for a non believer and he didn’t think sin before marriage was a sin. I’ll end up in a worldly relationship and can’t risk it. It definitely hurts

Thanks for sharing. I just went through something similar. He kept saying he understood but deep down I knew he didn't. And once I took away the sins he said we can't hang out anymore. But my calling from God is pulling me more and more and I'm finally strong enough to choose him over the world. I might be a little lonely here on earth for a bit, but my faith has me hopeful for the future, focused on God.

Also when someone just want you for his/her life decorations. They just pretend to be who you wants but soon try to drag you down to compromise for their real self. Say someone who does not see premarital sex as a sin would agree to date without sex and along the line pressure the other for sex.

At this stage of my life I’m beyond to dating based on his physical look. Can I trust him? I prefer to take my time get to know someone at least 3 months or so of getting to know him. I learned that people can act really good at first and paint you an amazing picture. Once they have you emotionally involved then the real them comes out. So far, it has been working out for me to intentionally get to know someone to weed out the bad ones 😊

@@EieiExamplEeiEi In my case, we just met through a dating website, and I said I just want to start as friends. The last girl I dated made my anxiety flare badly. @SuperAnime4444 Dating websites are for dating, not friendship. Sounds like you're not ready in general. Other people can't trigger what is already healed within you, so it's less that the girl triggered your anxiety and more than you need more single time alone maturing in Christ before you're actually ready to go there. I see no reason dating websites cannot begin as friendships. I made mistakes in the past “jumping into non-Christlike worldly relationships.” Just because someone was , “cute” I have never actually had a real Christlike relationship and I’ve been married 3 times.. after being divorced now 7 years, I “for sure” intend to start out w a “Christ like friendship” before considering anything more.. If it goes well, and attraction is there, then we can see what level they have their own relationship w God.. first… if they have a porn issue, they would be man enough to be honest and ask me to pray for them.. as for me, I have low self confidence r/t aging which has nothing to do w my relationship w Christ.. I intend to have surgery for “myself” then move forward in friendship- then dating relationships. I’m thankful God knows my heart… He is Who matters most anyway.

Yep, I saw this recently in someone who tried to come back into to my life. Had to back away because they started playing silly games of triangulation and poor communication. These things can happen with potential dates, friends or business partners. My patience was praised in times past by this person but it was clearly being weaponised against me So, I removed my presence to retain my mind. May God bless them with truthful revelation. Mark, I left a comment on another video you did recently about why we struggle to forget some people. It was about the deeper spiritual side of how soul ties can and may work and how our prayer life should respond to that. I don't see the comment there now and I'm wondering if either I accidentally didn't post it properly or if was it deleted? Just wondering, but if the latter is true please feel free to say why it was removed.

Well you know what I'm a single person and I have to learn about all these relationships and people and friends that I dealt with in my lifetime and I have dealt with a lot of things in the world these are three different things hear what I'm saying is that a 20-point right now that I can't help but not to be by myself I have to be by myself it's not a choice is that I have to know that being with self is the most important thing a person could do at this moment with themselves right now and every day because you're conscious throws or you're self-conscious throws you off sometimes all for focus about who you are and what you want to do or what is the purpose of life and that's all right now I'm thinking as it as a single person is myself

Pastor Mark, what would say about this guy that’s pursuing a serious relationship with me. I love the Lord and want to be in ministry. He loves the Lord and wants to be in ministry. However, I’m 2 years older and a bit farther along in my spiritual journey, as well as life mature. I respect him though but we both agree that that at this point I’m more mature. Should we continue dating?

Hey Mark, how much time is it appropriate to give someone? Been dating a girl for almost 2 years and been asking her to be more considerate and serving in our relationship. She's improved but still acts in a self centered way a lot. It is very odd for me because I met someone in July and we decided to date in early November. So we waited quite some time. But there is no emotional growth. I would always tell him i don't want to force anything and to just be honest with his feelings. Communication wasn't too bad but it was like I was initiating conversations. I told him I felt abandoned in the relationship and hr said we could date openly. I'm just so upset because why would someone play with your feelings when you gave them time and time again to just be honest. I called him last night and texted him to respond but he has yer to. I have now deleted his number out my phone and am emotionally withdrawing from the situation. It still hurts but we never had sex thank God.

My ex and I definitely still have feelings for each other and we both want to be together again. It's biblical.. *4 really sticks out to me. I'm not ready for another relationship financially and emotionally and frankly Michele wants to finish her studies in school which will be over in less than 7 months before she even dates again. When we originally broke up due to school and long distance WHICH WE BOTH agree we need to be in person in order to get back together.. see she's emotionally traumatized bc she wanted to move on and met a guy who professed Christian faith but apparently only wanted one thing from her... sex. She held strong and he broke her heart. But according to her she never wanted to break up with me and she was constantly thinking about me all day and night. She wasn't happy with the other guy. The guy she truly wanted as her bf was me. And she made it known when she contacted me and we've been talking since. I don't feel ready and neither does she. We're both mutual and biblical. What's your thoughts on this Mark?

@@american_duelistguys4088 I see it as why would you give someone that attention and that part of you when you are not dating? It lead you to be lead on with no real goal or endpoint. Just living in the moment. It’s best to be intentional and right now you both bc cannot be intentional so you might be wasting your time. If it is truly meant to be neither of you are going anywhere. When you’re both ready you can be more intentional. Best to save your heart from the pain. Other wise it’s sounds like friends with emotional benefit which isn’t biblical. If you both want to be together but are not ready, no need to stay in contact too much. Just let it happen when it’s time. I know it’s easier said than done but rather do that then to ruin it trying to force something even a friendship when it’s not time.
