4 Steps to Moisturized Natural Hair

Gooood old fashion hair videos?? YASSS! Thumbs up!!
I am sharing 4 simple steps to revive your hair after you have been basically ignoring it, like I have. Since my hair is short, I know that I can get away with a LOT. But I know what my hair likes and it's MOISTURE!
1. Use a moisturizing Shampoo. Enough said.
2. Use a great deep conditioner - if you are using a not so great DC, follow up with a hair steamer/ sit under a hooded dryer! Anything that gets the job done, girlfriend.
3. Moisturize! DUH! You can't skip it and if you are lazy like I am, use what I call a 2-in-1: Shea butter! It moisturizes and seals my hair. Can't go wrong with it.
4. Style your hair in a way that retains moisture. I obviously have no hair for this but.... I have lots of hair tutorial on my channel... wink wink!

I have found the solution for my short Afro at last. It’s a generous helping of Jamaican black castor oil and green Eco gel. I also use the leave in conditioner every other day.

yessss, gorgeous as usual. I have been subscribed for over 2 yrs now and I love your God given spirit. I tried to grow my afro out for almost a year and 1 month shy I cut it off. I just did the big chop my hair is the same length in the video. It is too short to braid. Even if it can braid the braids will be so tight. So how do you protect the hair from breakage/split ends/damage without braiding or wearing caps?

People aren't kidding when they say twa's feel/get dry quick, i do this same routine, minus the gel and sponge part, and my hair be feeling dry by the next day, whereas when my hair was longer i could get 2 to 3 days with the moisturized hair.

Soooooo glad I found this video! So have been transitioning my hair. Buuuuut I decided to cut all the relaxed hair off yesterday! Was just tired of having to deal with different types of hair...I do have a question for you, I've did my hair care routine, my hair is soo soft when I moisturized it...today it feels so hard, but not dry...is that okay? Or is there something I can do to keep my hair soft.

No that’s normal. My hair feel dry to the touch but still moisturized... it’s an interesting feeling because most associate hard with dry but not taking into consideration that our hair is naturally kinky

Hey so you can wear a shower cap and Bring a piece of cloth or a towel and either soak it in hot or warm water or pour water in it and stick in the microwave and then wrap it around your hair and of course make sure it's not too hot or I heard somewhere that you can run your blowdrier over it for a bit

I love the hair on you but I have a question for you.... I think that it looks great but my concern is that if you are not well dressed and your make up in not on point short hair can easily look neglectful...that is my concern ...I all the videos you are well dressed and your make up is perfect ....I think that it is more work in that sens ....you can not rely on your faithful pony tail and jogging ensemble when you have short hair ....don't you think so.

Maya Joseph not quite...the only time I wear makeup is for special occasions...since I cut my hair on the 4th I've literally combed it about three times....lol....my hair is longer at the top than hers

Maya Joseph . I agree with you. I've cut my hair for the second time. However I think I got away with a more casual look the first time 20 years ago. A bit of lip gloss and I was done. Now I feel more "presentable" when I'm wearing full make up outside the home. I still don't regret returning to the low cut ;-)
