Si's back on his time trial bike and is taking on not 2, not 3, but 4 roadies?! What do you think? I’ve time trialled in a single layer skin suit in hail. Once the Diesel engine is at full chug, you can’t feel cold.

Ollie is like the guy at work who didn't get the promotion. Here he's been working hard for aero all this time, and then he has to watch in silence as someone else gets all the aero glory. I hope he went home and put on his skinsuit and aero helmet and said, next time, my introduction music is gonna be The Eye of the Tiger.

Si is ever-so-gracious, stating that the "Time Trial bike" was doing the work. We all know the real story -- Si is just better than everyone else. The team Zwift race, the GTN competition -- what else does the man have to do to prove it?

I love this series, It feels natural and real. Besides this shows the difference between an amateur and a pro/expro. Ollie is way way beyond the average amateur and still got dropped. I would not last 100 meterse with those guys. Great work guys!!! And cheers to the SIborg!!!

Yeah seemed like he was dropped right from the get go, sprinting out from a standing start. The rest of them probably had to hold back to let Ollie catch into the wheels.

Remember this was the slowest time of Si so far. 2 vs Si 13:40 - 12:55 3 vs SI 13:16 - 12:48 4 vs SI 13:01 - 12:59 Maybe a little bit cold at the start? Next time, I think he is allowed to bring out the rear disc wheel for 5 vs Si.

@@andymiller3889 Generally yes, but that really depends on the atmospheric pressure of the day and there is more to that than just temperature. If someone knows the dates it was filmed we could look it up and calcute. A positive side effect of more dense cold air is that it contains more oxygen per litre to breathe. However it also affects the competition equally. But I mainly meant the temperature does affect Si starting in a thin skinsuit, with what looks like no warmup whatsoever. Get on the rollers next time while the others are coming round SI!

I still can't believe despite Simon being as fit as he is, he got smashed by Phil Gaimon in that bonkers Taiwan climbing event. Si finished in the Top 20 while Phil ended up in 3rd place behind Niballi and someone else I can't remember now. Crazy stuff.

I'm 168cm tall, the majority of people behind me don't have any shelter especially when I'm being aero.

I am 6’4” (193cm) and my shoulders are wider than just about any of my riding companions. Aero tuck width approximately 20” (51cm), upright 22” (56cm). I have a taller friend that is shaped like Conner. I get a slightly better draft off my friends that are closer to my shape. The “team” looked pretty sloppy in the video. Losing a rider that early in the TT was a significant mistake.

I got to be honest we all love cycling videos this is just what I need to get it going the blood I love it. I always watch these before I go out and get my body moving. I love when I always watch one of these, and then put up my heavy playlist I love like Delta Parole and then I just go haaaaard!!!! Tactic hasnt let me down yet.

Hey Olli, just for when you comb through these comments at work... ;) A lot of jokes about you getting dropped, but It's pretty inspiring to see a regular guy who just loves riding his bike push out the watts that you do. Makes it feel like impressive fitness and power is attainable for me too. Ride on dude.

What I learned from this video... 1) The Si-borg is a machine that loves Beast Mode. 2) Ollie is a Mere Mortal who is still in ridiculously good shape. 3) Had the roles been switched around, say the Mere Mortal was on the TT bike against the Hankster & Si-borg, there likely wouldn’t have been a need for any other videos. Hence we wouldn’t have seen The Big Gun aka Chute (pronounced like parachute), or General Paton. We wouldn’t be looking forward to the inclusion of The Man Eater into the pace line. Well done GCN, the suspense of how will the Si-borg do against the growing peloton keeps me coming back week after week. An idea for a future training video is the Mere Mortal practices aerodynamics & riding in a TT pace line with Hank’s Dad (love seeing the cameos of Hank’s dad) & The Chute. I would say the Mere Mortal learns about aerodynamics but I’m sure he already knows everything on the subject, now it’s time to put that knowledge into real world application.
