I can’t tell you how validating it makes me feel hearing you say, “whoops”! In my surgical training and until my retirement I never lost that reflexive audible reaction. Years ago, during my training, when a nurse cut a suture extremely short and the reflexive and obviously audible “whoops” was my expression (to the ears of the awake patient) I thought the attending surgeon was going to have a stroke as everything upwards of his collar turned deep purple. He survived, and I also surprisingly survived, as did the preservation of my audible WHOOPS reflex!

I'm so glad I found your channel last month thanks to the Four Ways projects. You clearly emulate Mr. Raffan's style, which I've been adjusting some of my techniques towards. I feel like watching him and you, feels more casual and artistic. I cannot support the rim of a bowl while turning because of paralyzed hands, but the scraper techniques you use have been very helpful to me. Watching you two work, and teach by what you say, has made me more confident and relaxed in my turning. I will be in hospital for awhile later this week. Your older videos are the first thing I'll spend time watching. Looking forward to your future videos.

Great turning, I loved the transitions on both sides. I haven’t put these on my bowls yet due to the extra difficulty. I have used rolled beads on top though. I liked bowl before top transition and thought that you would spoil it by putting one on. However turned out really well. Thanks for these 4 ways turnings.
