I just came back to the Lord about a year ago. I had been a lesbian all my life. Anxiety and depression ruled my life. I was in and out of relationships and was ready for a change but, I didnt realize that meant change my sexual orientation resulting in my identity changing. I lifted everything up to the Lord and sure enough it didnt come back void. Throughout this year of coming back, the Lord has taken all impure thought about women out of my mind, opened my mind to feminine possibilities, made me want a family, and marry a man of strong faith through Jesus. My goal now is to just become the best woman through Christ and I have no doubt that when it's time, the Lord will put in front of me the man that will lead me and his potential family closer to the Lord. In the meantime, I am just finding ways to work on myself and to really mature in womanhood. I'm so incredibly excited about my journey and that is how I actually found your guys' channel. Thank you for all of the wonderful and encouraging videos.

Though I really do desire to be in a relationship badly, the Lord has taught me that He must be my first Love! This season has been very difficult, because I have had to let go of some things I realize that I’ve held too tightly to. So my encouragement to those that are also single, enjoy this time with your Father! He romances us daily & is the Author Of Love! Trust Him with your love life! His plans are ALWAYS better. Though it may seem like we have a better idea, remember He knows us better than we know ourselves :)

I knew my boyfriend for 10 years before we got together..but last august, God put on my heart he was going to be my husband before he asked me out. almost a year later, we are talking about rings, looking at venues, etc. and while I'm so thankful for him, none of it surprises me. I knew what God had told me.

I met my girlfriend through an Instagram group chat about Christian memes

There was a point where I had given up dating for a while and was okay with being single and then a friend (not a very good one and not christian) introduced me to a guy. We went on a blind date and dated for a while before God ended things. I think it’s safe to say to always be on your guard at the same time, just because you meet someone and they love Jesus too, it doesn’t mean they are the right one. Check their fruit. It is possible to date another Christian and be unevenly yoked. They may not have the same values as you or share some to the same core beliefs, or even just may say they are Christian but now walk in repentance. I am single now, have been for quite a bit of time, and God has used this time of singleness to heal me, to show me more of who He is. I am waiting and okay with it. I definitely like these ideas though, they are good to keep in mind.

I really enjoyed hearing these tips and I think you guys have some great insights. I read somewhere that you should put yourself in situations where you can meet the type of person who are hoping to find. Ex: looking for a godly man....go in a mission trip. Also, don’t expect to find a godly person in places like bars etc. Also, I think it’s important to note that working on you first and your relationship with God should be your #1 priority, don’t ever be in a hurry to get married because 1) you’re always going to be learning about yourself and growing and your desires might change, 2) the grass is never greener on the other side. God has got you right where He wants you at this very moment, rest in that because His plan is perfect. As a single lady of 29 (Michael Spann...cough....cough), I am very familiar with the feeling of unwanted singleness. There have been times where it almost physically hurts to be single while it seems that seriously everyone around you is getting engaged, married, or having babies. But God, He is so good and knows best what you need at this time. I know it’s not easy to say just give it to God, but it really is true. Your relationship with God is the most important relationship you will ever have, so work on it! And forget about finding someone for the time being. God knows you, God hears you, God sees you, God loves you, and He has totally got this 😉

I haven't watched the video yet, (due to practically no internet connection) but I bet anything that these tips apply pretty much only to people who actually have a life. Something of which I sorely lack 😢😄 It's all good though. I'm learning surprisingly well how to be content in my season of singleness. I finally looked at my desires through a practical view instead of a dream state and realized I wasn't nowhere near prepared yet. So I'm slowing down, working hard on myself and my dreams, and waiting while God does his work on me. My heart still feels it's about to burst at times because I desire love so badly, but I'm doing better than I believe I ever have before! 🙌🏼

From experience I prayed for God to send me someone at the right time, and HE gave me a test of faith and patience after. Remember God will send you someone even if they aren't perfect or what you expect. You can be the answer to someone else's prayers too in what they are praying for in their future wife or husband.

I’m pretty sure I’ve met mine while enlisting in the military. He is Air Force and I’m Marines. He’s TOTALLY different from the other guys I’ve liked. For one, he’s more mature (given he is 4 years older than me). He loves the Lord with all of his heart, mind, and soul. He’s also intentional about dating. And we also have a lot of common interests too. I have to pray very hard about this relationship though because we also have major differences that we will have to work through (diff. denoms., long distance, and parental acceptance).

I specifically said that I wasn’t trying to rush in a relationship and that I wanted to focus on God and getting my self ready for the real deal 12 HOURS before “re-meeting” my boyfriend. I became so content with who I am and where I was and the Lord just opened up my eyes to him! We’ve known each other for years through church/youth group and I prayed for a long time before beginning our relationship that if this was the real deal let it come to pass and low and behold, it all worked so effortlessly and months later, I am so sure that this is what the Lord has had planned for both of us ♥️

I’ve gotten close with my guy friends and having such close guy friends that I don’t currently have interest in right now is actually pretty great. Single and almost ready to mingle. I’m 22 I’m not in a rush and I really just want to be content and disciplined in my walk with the Lord. He and I have gotten a lot closer and have a very interactive relationship, I just haven’t gotten into a routine with Him and I think that’s really important to have just to navigate life single or not. Plus I’d like to pay off the small amount of dept I have and be more financially smart and stable. I’m down for more godly friendships I don’t really have a friend group of people my age since they are hard to find in my church family. Although I really enjoy the friendship I have with the older members of my church.

I gotta say, I honestly love your videos and I think these 4 ways happen to many to most people and I agree to an extent for much of what you've shared. I've been bold enough to be open use dating apps and to be open enough to a guy that's a family friend that wasn't my type on the outside. The first guy I thought was the one, we did have a class together before, he was a Christian and we matched on tinder. I realized later that we were just 'wound mates'. It didn't work out, because his heart wasn't in it and he went back to his ex. It was a brief and God impactful learning experience, but we're still good friends. Another Christian guy in college pursued me for almost 2 weeks and it was a painful experience after he unintentionally deceived me. I forgave him in my head immediately the same day, but I couldn't forgive him in my heart until about 6 months later. We're chill, but I wouldn't say we are or even were good friends. Lastly, I after I got ghosted last December by a guy I kinda liked/had some interest in, I promised to not ever get in a relationship or even let myself fall in love unless the guy proves himself to earn my trust and affection, be my new best guy friend, want to marry me, and have the characteristics and qualities I look for in a partner, etc. We'd also need to have the 2 types of the 'combination' (terms I created): mutual mental, emotional, spiritual, and physical attraction and Eros, Philia, and Agape love for each other. When I came up with my list of qualities and characteristics I wanted in a guy, I did take some stuff off the internet and use some 'soulmate' signs. I'd never believed in 'soulmates' before, until I met the last guy was talking to. I believe we were 'woundmates' too, but our emotional closeness grew, as did our feelings. We had all the soulmate 'signs'. I've also never felt so strongly for, so connected and so comfortable with a guy. I've never had such a gradually intense experience with someone; nor has anyone ever motivated me to be better so much and I him. There was a good chunk of that time where 'I just felt it in my gut', in my head, and heart that he was the one. I couldn't help but feel his pain even when I was a 1,000 miles away. I don't know how to explain it, but yes I fell in love with him. I could imagine myself with him and we even talked about dating, marriage and kids even though we weren't 'officially' dating. There's still unresolved issues/unclarity/unfinished discussion between us right now and it hurts that we don't really talk anymore. I just miss my friend. Apologies for the length, I just felt the need to respond and share what was on my heart and mind. Thank you to anyone and everyone who took the time read this :)

When satan told you that you were not good enough because your sin, God showed what could do through you! All of the bad times you went through, God used it to refine you into this radiant being you are now! When satan said that you're not enough, God said 'look what I can do to her'. AMEN. I totally agree that when we release things to the Lord, sometimes He then chooses to give us that which we have surrendered to Him. He is kind and generous. However, I think this is the wrong message for women and young ladies to hear. It is a very popular idea “just surrender to Jesus and THEN you’ll get what you wanted”. But then if it doesn’t happen, youll likely question your own faith and if you really have given it over to the Lord. Ladies, there is nothing wrong with you being single! We must find true contentment in the season we are in and enjoy to the fullest serving the Lord without the responsibilities that being a wife and mother would put on us. Marriage and motherhood are beautiful and good things, but they are not THE thing. And THE thing that we most need is Jesus Himself.

Can you guys do a video about what it's like to hear from God that someone will be your husband/wife? For awhile, I was so sure that this one guy was supposed to pursue me eventually, but then he ended up avoiding me because he could tell that I was interested in him and wasn't interested in me in that way. Basically, this guy seemed interested for a while and I thought that God was telling me that this guy was "the one" (through prayer and reading the Bible), but ended up getting majorly rejected. How can I know that God is really telling me something and that it's not just my own perceptions/thoughts/desires? I'd really appreciate it if you guys would discuss this topic.
