It's time for a 4-year update! I can't believe how fast this tree is growing. The tree is growing in my vegetable garden in Bangkok, Thailand.

Thank you very much for yearly updates @poe my friend. It will help us to take care of the tree. I have started germinating the seeds the way you shown in your first video. It's just amazing it has started Germinating in just 2 days. I would also like to share the progress with you as I followed your instructions in your first video and it worked for me :) thank you very much again for your great helpful information.

Great trees and awesome video. I have some as bonsai and I also have been grafting seedlings from mature trees. That one looks like Adansonia digitatta.

It won't actually take out your house. It will get wider but wont be a risk. They're a solid standing tree. We have cyclones and they're still standing. It's a beautiful tree. I commented on your other video.

Also the tender leaves are edible as a cooked green. This one is definitely growing abnormally fast. I have three trees over 5 years old that are about as big as your two year old tree even though they get water every day.

I'm glad I saw this video, I have some growing, I didn't know they could grow that fast. And of course plant them far from your house or concrete. 😁

Before you remove the tree you can make a few air layers and make a clone. Then it can become a bonsai. Watch my air layer video for a baobab if you want to see how to do it.

Hello Poe from Spain. Thanks for sharing the video, nice ones! i've just starting to try to germinate the seeds i brought with me from Angola 7 years ago, we'll see how it goes. When do you expect your Adamsonia bring fruits? Best wishes!
@organichuman Жыл бұрын
This is amazing and great that you provided updates. I thought this was meant to be a slow growing tree. I understand you say you have tried to grow other specimens from the same collection of seeds and it didn't grow anywhere as good. Have you tried to take any fruit from this tree and grow/germinate seeds? I know very little about this tree so not sure (age) when it fruits. If you can collect seeds from this then it should have the same good genetics and offer similar quality grows (hopefully). Do you think it is possible to grow from a cutting/clone near a new shoot of leaf and get good results?

do not cut it down.......try to sell it ......offer it online and I am sure you can sell it for over 50k usd.......if I was in your place i will keep it and it will grow in cost and i am sure you can get even more

I've been studying baobab trees and read that these trees grow in at least 74 populations from 37 countries in Africa, also Australia and have now been brought to thrive in India and other parts of Asia. There are 8 or 9 species and most are not endangered. The most common large African species (Adansonia digitata) is everywhere and in not endangered. The endangered versions are 2 of the 6 species on Madagascar: A. perrieri and A. suarezensis are considered critically endangered. Hope this helps!
