Salamanders and Vulcan had come across a hibernating group of Men of Iron. They killed all of them, but most of the Salamander LEGION was destroyed as well.

Years and years ago. “When GW released Apocalypse. I went to a showing at the local store. I ended up “commanding” a salamanders landraider redeemer. They handed out shirts to say what team you were on. Salamanders, and blood ravens. Found that shirt last year in storage. Now that I’m off my 9 year break into the hobby again. I must find that shirt for local games. Vulkan by far has become my favourite primarch. Vulkan lives!

Ah yes, the ones big on fire and melee who actually cares about the regular human population. | 0:32 - The Salamanders were on the right side of history in that case...actually they were the Daughters of the Emperor, it was AFTER the Age of Apostasy that they were known as the Sisters of Battle. | 1:14 - Well, they're Xenos, so they can burn without much thought, no collateral damage. | Chaos traitors are most of all deserving of their wrath! | 6:10 - Even they can see that "Green is best". | 7:04 - (monotone) All hail the Ultrasmurfs. | 7:55 - The biggest pilferer in that universe that might outdo the Blood Ravens.

@7:11....that image @7:24...that right there is why the Salamanders are awesome...they truly care about civilians and humanity...they dont look down on the Guard like so many of the other chapters do, and maintain family and home world connections even after becoming Space Marines.

Salamanders and the raven guard are my favorites. The both try their hardest to minimize casualties. Edit well, human casualties. Xenos dont count.

I can never get over the girth of the bolter and the size of the magazine it holds. Speaking of scale, it would hold 5-6 rounds of ammo. Cmon! EDIT:a box mag would be more convincing than a banana mag.
