You can see why Brock never hit that Shooting star press on Kurt Angle, you can see he hesitated for a split second and bent his knees twice when jumping off and therefore he didn’t push off with enough force to gain enough momentum to complete the rotation. I’m pretty sure the hesitation came from the fact that he was well aware of how fatigued he was

Shawn Michaels' return in 2007 was the first thing I saw about wrestling. I remember pressing buttons on my remote to find something to watch on a saturday night (I am french and in 2007, Raw was on saturday nights, in a 45 minutes cut and broadcasted 3 weeks after the live broadcast in the US), and I see this old man in the ring with that young champion, talking about a "Triple H guy" and asking him to come to the ring. Seconds of silence, the champion goes outside the ring to look for the guy, then a music hits, and I remember my first thoughts when I saw HBK coming on the scene. I was like "Yo, this mfkr is gonna beat the living shit out of the champ. I guess it is not that Triple H guy but something really bad is gonna happen". They fight, then the Sweet Chin Music hits Orton. It was beautiful, and I remember watching the rest of the show because I was like "I want to see more of that HBK dude. He is badass and his music is just so cool". No need to see I cried like the little bitch I am when he retired. He was God to me

There is a 2007 episode of Smackdown that uses a signature intro with Benoit it *after* his death. Dont remember what ep it was, or if it were Raw or Smackdown, may have been Raw actually, but out of nowhere it used that intro. My guess was that the initial broadcast may not have had an intro and they chucked it on for whatever reason and didnt notice Benoit

Kurt was way too far across the ring for Lesnar to stick that landing. It's not really Brock's fault. Had Angle rolled over once towards the corner that Lesnar was going to jump from, while pretending to writhe in agony, Lesnar would have connected with the move.
@jamespesetsky8 ай бұрын
I would also say another reason why the shooting star press didn't work for Lesnar is because Kurt Angle wasn't close enough for Lesnar to land safely on him.

When Lesner tried the Shooting Star at Mania you can see Angle was also too far away from him to hit it successfully if Angle had of been closer to the side Lesnar was Lesnar could of hit the move successfully.

I got to go to Corpus Christi, Texas for my first live event since my parents divorce. I was 14, excited as hell to see what happens in this big storyline they had going about Vince McMahon dieing in a limo explosion etc. It was June 25, 2007. Up until that point, Chris Benoit was tied for my favorite current wrestler with Undertaker. Watched the show, heard the news, went home upset. Honestly, I don't remember much of the show, just bits and pieces. Then I got home a couple days later, and heard what had actually happened. I was so confused. Like, how could someone do that. I deleted my background on MySpace, as it had been Chris Benoit themed with lightning crossing through a black background and him jumping from the top rope. I stopped watching for a few years after that, just recently getting back into it after my dad gave me his collection of memorabilia(he is a super fan). It's very different from the wrestling that I grew up with, but I'm learning a lot from these videos and I'm starting to enjoy it again so, thank you for making them.

Its funny to see my country (The Lativi one) mentioned, its all bcs negligent parents, kids, and a lot of people living in rural area barely understand english (even Bahasa, the main languages) or know any kayfabe/pro wrestling works. So it leads to multiple injuries and deaths. After the backlash, Lativi tried to move the show to dawn time, even at 03:00AM just to make kids to avoid watching it, eventually they let it expires and gone from local tv. And few years later Lativi also stop airing (bought out and turn into TVOne that more to news/political than international entertainments). The cable network still aired (MNC), but all of those is ppv compilations/random episodes that not following international/real WWE airings at the time. Now many still huge fans but watch on WWE official youtube and watch ppv in Disney Hotstar. But no official relation anymore. So Technically Indonesia watch Early Attitude era (My brothers said so, from Stone Cold rise to The Rock winning Royal Rumble becoming Scorpion king then the local TV lost license and stop airing), WCW when NWO vs Sting is the main story (not a lot known since it aired to lesser known tv station and WWF ruled the views) and near end of Ruthless Agression era (My era the Lativi one). So PG-Current era is never aired, fans just followed youtube, instagram, twitter, etc. I remember SD 1st airing is around after Eddie Guerrero passing, Batista return from injury, Undertaker vs Kurt Angle. RAW around Edge vs Cena, DX reunites, Kane & Big Show tag team champion. ECW invasion also airing, and ECW one night stand RVD vs Cena is so legendary. Sad to see how it goes, but when WWE aired. A lot of Undertaker, John Cena, Batista, Edge, MnM, Lita, Mcool, Matt Striker, Matt Hardy, DX, Psychosis, Paul London, Brian Kendrick, Shelton Benjamin, RVD, Sandman, Tommy Dreamer, CM Punk, etc. fans still present. Even theres some local Indonesian youtubers covering the current wrestling news today (Bloodlines, Bray Wyatt, LA Knight, etc.). So Indonesian wrestling fans still there today including me. They still leave legacy.
