I’ll mention Roman’s cancer announcement since nobody else is really talking about it. Undoubtedly, his heel turn and the bloodline helped put him over but I feel like his cancer battle was the beginning of his acceptance. At that point, you could see a shift in the audience…everyone, in unison, suddenly woke up and remembered that this is a person with struggles, feelings and a real life just like everyone else. The subsequent heel turn and storyline was the icing on the cake.
