I been tempted to build one of these for so long! I tried using the code but didnt work. Is it one shot for one person? I hope to still get one of these printers to build.

I have the same printer... random Klipper shutdowns and after working with support / swapping parts I ended up adding a ground from the power supply to the stepper drive and it resolved the issue.

Love how you can tell they just used a pice base board for a single fan GPU, but then again they probably get a decent price cut using that form factor
@LoyalMoses3 ай бұрын
A LOT of printers are from components that they have readily available. I think that’s why we saw so many bed slingers from so many companies with the exact same components, they just have warehouses full of the stuff.

So is this something that a person with no experience building 3D printers could accomplish? Is it going to require soldering?
@LoyalMosesАй бұрын
No soldering, but it would be pretty advanced for a first time build! I wouldn’t recommend it unless you or someone was VERY mechanically inclined.

Don’t get me wrong I think it’s a cool little printer but I don’t really get the point of a printer that small. Lots of people say the Bambu A1 mini is too small (I know it should do most things) but a build sheet that is about 4” square? I know it’s a Voron. But for that amount of money…. Thanks for the great quality video and walk through format.
@vhoward11223 ай бұрын
Most people build their 300 x 300 machine and then only print small parts that will fit on the tiny printer. Depends on what your use case is. I too think it is overpriced.
@LoyalMoses3 ай бұрын
Yes. The size is very strange for sure. I’ve heard from people that have them they enjoy speed printing tiny boats among other things, but yes, that’s very small!
@KJMcLaws21 күн бұрын
90% of what I print will fit on this printer. For the pieces that don't. That's what the big guy's for.

Looking at the AliExpress link, it looks like you still need to supply your own Raspberry Pi- that isn't the barrier it was during the pandemic, but it's still something to keep in mind.

Definitely a lot easier to find now. Can’t believe people were paying $300+ for them just a couple of years back,

@LoyalMoses same. I lucked out and in Dec 21 I found a local microcenter that got a random shipment of RPi3b in stock and grabbed 1 for $45. After that it's been all btt pi

Hello Moses hope you can answer my 2 questions. I just bought a elegoo neptune 4 plus and I want it in the room that I sleep in but idk where to buy an enclosure or if its needed I want to print pla only for now. The other is should I buy a fillament dryer like the sunlu V2 or should I make a dry box because I dont want my fillament to get moist. Thanks and hope I hear soon.❤
@LoyalMoses3 ай бұрын
There are a lot of enclosure options, lookup FNATR as an example. Are you in a humid area? If so, definitely grab a good dryer. SUNLU, FixDry and Polymaker make great ones.
@Armor3dprinting3 ай бұрын
You don't need an enclosure for PLA and a dryer is always a goof option. I have a sunlu s2 and it's great, I have a dual sovol dryer too, it's OK but the sunlu is better. I would look at the polymaker box too
@buildersmark3 ай бұрын
I have bothered the Polydryer and the Sunlu S2. They both do great. I do like the modularity of the PolyDryer and the new upgrades that are being designed for it. For an enclosure I had reached out to Sunlu for a larger option. There is a person on their Facebook group I have a contact for that could have availability for that.
