I was using Vectric Asipre but that's because it's what I had already for CNC projects - the problem is that most of your CNC programs aren't geared towards lasers and so you'll probably need a laser post processor and get creative on how you work the tool path - eventually I bought a cheap Ortur laser so I could just use Lightburn :)
