I was glad to see this trending at number one for as long as it was. It gave me some hope that a genuinely good show can actually be trending and not be a harem Isekai or overrated shounen.

Absolutely disagree. I mean i happy it not some random harem Isekai or overrated shounen. But random romance that didn't have single special trait also make me question how? Especially when there is a masterpiece in the season like Tomozaki. It's crime that everyone ignored that show in the whole season and just overated this one for no any reason.

(Like in Bokuyaba) What do you mean by first half? S1? Or the first half of S2? I don't watch trash harem. i don't care about 100 Girlfriends.

Same here. It's one of my favorites if not *the* no1 manga I'm following since 2019 and I'm glad to see the anime has trended heavily recently. At the beginning of S1 we OG manga readers told anime only watchers to stick it out for the first three episodes and those who did are now eternally thankful to us. 😤😉

@@admeliora3962it’s pretty good. I almost dropped it in the first ep as well but kept watching honestly because I didn’t have anything else to do at the time. Around episode 3-4ish is where it gets really enjoyable. Where it has other romcoms beat is every episode there is visible progress in their relationship, to the point where it feels like they’re moving too fast sometimes.

I watched so far 2 ep and all i got is cringe. 1 Ep took me 3 hour to finish it. (No joke) Even if it become better how it can class with something that only have good episode from the begining to the end?

The protagonist is just well written That's it. The writer didn't have to show Ichikawa's whole flashback to make you empathise with him. The writer perfectly managed to make Ichikawa a multi-dimensional character by clashing his desires with his self flaws which creates an interesting internal conflicts.

@@immfi Yup, you're right. All of them except the new two girls, especially the pink haired one. However, it is unfortunate that the physically bullying is missing since that someone with Ichikawa's personality in real life will be 100% a bully victim.

@@immfiWell, he must be lucky then. I got bullied in the middle school only specifically the last year. That affected me too much to be honest. For the whole high school period I was so negative and felt like I'm isolated in class because I knew no one back then. I even didn't make a new friend for the whole high school period. I still got my old friends but I only see them in break times. I'm grateful that things are different now in college. My vision about life has changed a lot and I met nice persons. You should know now why I like Ichikawa. I could see my old self in him. Sorry for yapping too much

Base of the first 2 ep of the anime: It's dosen't feel well written. It's unrealistic and cringe. I don't know how much it change later in the show but i know the fact that there is way more realistic introvert character in other series then this. Hikigaya Hachiman (Oregairu) and Tomozaki Fumiya (Jaku-Chara Tomozaki-kun). Those are the most realistic character i ever see in anime.

My favorite part about this series is how much these two lovebirds know about and trust each other. It makes for such a wholesome and healthy relationship,one that I can actually see lasting a lifetime

Biggest thing that hit with me is Ichikawa and the most relatable part of him: his discovery of his own self-worth. The inner monologue he has is what we all battle with - we want to believe we are good enough but when things go wrong we lose sight of it. Season 2 really executed his growth and what really pushed this anime up to the top for me is early on when he had to give the speech. He found his voice because of all the amazing people he has around him, but he came to accept himself BY HIMSELF. He finally found the courage to say “I am worthy of the good that comes my way because I’m good enough for it.” It wasn’t one and done, he still struggled, but he was able to look at the good that was happening around him and not question it. He just then had to figure out what to do now that it’s here, and that’s exactly how it goes.

I binged the first season in preparation for season 2 and then watched season 2 weekly and it was the best decision of my life! This is easily in my top 5 romance anime of all time and loved the relationship with ichikawa and yamada. It was so cute and wholesome! I just wanted to give them all a hug when they are down and a headpat when they were being dorky. It was such a healthy relationship and they also talked through their problems to make sure there were no misunderstandings. Ichikawa's self worth journey was so inspiring and loved the speech episode where it came full circle for him.

Srry for the ranting 😅 Ichikawa and Yamada and best couple for 8+ weeks. And best anime of the week for 10 STRAIGHT WEEKS IN A ROW(11 incoming next week). This anime dethroned my nr1 anime Everything about this series is just perfection. Music, visuals, characters, story. They nailed the romance aspect of it perfectly. Im giggling and kicking my feet or waving my hands everytime something cute happens. I really hope they make season 3,but the anime is like 25+ chapters behind which is not enough for an entire season. We are now on ch 106, and they prob end it on 111 or 114(because what happens in that chapter is the entire s1 and 2 build up) But seeing how insanely popular and trending this series is, season 3 is pretty much already confirmed without confirmation.

this anime is my favourite. i started watching it last summer and the reason why its so close to my heart is because i find the main character similar to myself having fantasies abt killing people and has no friends but finds a girl who is quite the opposite and our friendship is getting better and better. parts of the anime are happened in my life as well and i find the side characters similar to some of our classmates

The great think about this anime is that it really represents the spirit of the manga that is based. I read it all and each week I watch it like a never read the story, it is just the great expectation to see this great story animated. And spoiler alert, the best is yet to come.

Hey! The Wiki isn’t wrong! Chapter 119 Extras (don’t look if you aren’t caught up with the manga, it has spoilers) is a chart that gives their heights. Yamada is given as 171.9cm at the start, or 5ft. 7.677in., and Ichikawa is given as 152cm at the start, or 4ft. 11.843in. Various Extras back up this information. If the anime or manga is inconsistent, that’s on them. Source: Me, I’m the Wiki admin. XD But seriously, great video and breakdown. Putting it as BokuYaba is very good at the fundamentals is super true.

The best part is we get a manga chapter on Friday and the season finale on Saturday. The best part is the manga is still going on. The series will end right before summer vacation. The manga starts right after summer vacation is over.

Thank God for the great adaptation. I'm an anime only and this just became my favorite romance anime of all time. I've never been this happy in almost every episode. Usually in some romance anime I've watched, I'll blush and grin in one episode but the next time it will happen again is after 4 episodes. For BokuYaba, my cheeks start to hurt because I've been grinning and blushing non-stop for 6 consecutive episodes, heck, for the whole series. I'm just sad that we might not get a season 3 anytime soon since I think there's not enough material to adapt. I'd love to continue the story in the manga after season 2, but I also want to experience season 3 without knowing what happened in the manga since I prefer watching anime than reading a manga. Overall I'm just thankful for this great adaptation and I don't want this to end anytime soon. Seriously one of the best out there.

I think it's really simple: 1) Quality animation 2) Great voice acting 3) Compelling character development being central to the story 4) A story that touches the audience 5) A production/execution where viewers can tell it was done with love by the studio

Ichikawa is such a deep, relatable protagonist in so many ways!! At first he's just seen as an edgy, and slightly envious guy, as he obviously wants to kill the most popular girl because he envies the attention and friendships she has. But, as the plot goes on, you can see him doubting his beliefs and initial feelings towards the people around him, turning Ichikawa into this extremely introspective and relatable character, analysing his everyday choices in order to maintain the achievements he's got in his social and love life. Seeing him grow and achieve milestones in his life makes me feel hopeful and even more confident about myself, it's an anime that made me feel fulfilled and genuinely happy with teh ending :D

It also helps that Yamada is one of the best-designed jailbait anime...waifus??? (she's 14, but still activates the primitive neurons in our lizard brains) while simultaneously being 99.999% wholesome (very little overt fanservice). You really love how adorable Yamada is (her appetite, her mannerisms, her VA's performance) so that you like her for her actual personality rather than just for her specific pair of massive "personalities" that bend gravity.

This romantic anime is one of the best I've ever seen. I can't remember when and which romantic anime gave me so much warmth and emotion. Danger in my heart is the only anime I've been waiting for this season. Everything is the best here - the characters, the drawing style and the staging. I gave this show 10 out of 10 points, and no one can convince me otherwise. Especially when I watched the last episode of this show. This confession is one of the best in my memory. I sat with a silly smile on my face the whole episode.

What I liked about the side characters is that they aren't just used for comedy. They have real social awareness and actually pick up on things. In particular, Moe and Kana notices the budding relationship between Ichikawa and Yamada and actively helps them. It's honestly a breath of fresh air to see side characters actually have an impact on the main story, rather than just existing.

Thank god I saw this video because I ended up binge watching this show this weekend after this and just. Wow. Both season finales brought me to tears just from how amazing the main duo and the character development was. And funny enough, I actually recall seeing the anime description of the first season a year ago and just instantly writing it off as cringe. So glad this video convinced me to give it a go because this probably has shot up to become my favorite romance anime ever. Absolutely peak.

I didn't watch S1 and a few S2 episodes at the beginning precisely because for I saw from Ichikawa at the beginning in some videos, aside from his wannabe high school shooter tendencies, he represented a good chunk of what I'm ashamed from my teenage years. And the hype didn't help at first because I was afraid it would be as overhyped as My Dress up Darling, but the hype was so crushing that finally I felt compelled to watch. The underdog story has been done to death because it works, but most of those underdog characters I relate in some ways, with Ichikawa for better or worse I relate with him in almost every way.

The reason for it being so popular and imo the best romcom oat os bc of the animes ability to expand the characters that all could be solid mcs, also the adaption of being very wholesome without having sad and tragic stuff happening, also the anines ability of symbolism and key details always connect throughout the anime dating back to ichikawa extreme emo phase. Yamada and ichikawa are one of the best couples in anime romcoms due to not seeing many tall queen and short king abd the way they develop and slowly understand each other without no rushing or needing to finish the plot in a timely manner. Everything all circles back together and also gives amazing arcs for ichikawa and the side characters. Ichikawa learning that yamada isnt perfect and popular and yamada learning that ichikawa isnt just sum random emo kid. This is wht brings episode 1-4 which had a slow start into a big explosion into wht we have now.

I liked this because yeah I think it did do some stuff that’s different from standard romance. They both become friends first before they really fall in love, there are no misunderstandings from lack of communication that last a long time,yamada doesn’t like him out of nowhere especially because it shows ichikawa isn’t a creepy loser that no one could like. He makes friends who all think he’s a great guy just by being himself. It’s about him growing up and he realizing he can everything he only thinks he isn’t if he just gave people a chance. I dont really relate to his character when I watch this but instead I feel like a proud friend or sometimes even a father, watching him go through the motions of being a kid/teen. Like “yeah let’s go that’s my boy. I raised this kid”

Best Romance (ive watch 900 animes animelist/SuimenNoTsuki) anime of all time ever i witness. This is the most difficult or just impossible task to do a better one. This anime is rly danger in our heart. Yamada saved Kyoutaro. First season Ed was about ichikawa confession and second season Ed was yamadas response. The shot from the library was the same like in the very first episode. Season 3 is probably coming but first mangaka has to do more mangas, its not enough actually for a complete 3 season.

This has bien successful because it reminds people of their school years and they were socially awkward and there was this girl or boy that they considered outside of their reach (romantically speaking), so this anime makes them relive that situatuation with a positive turn of events ... would it heal those memories? For those currently in school in a similar situation, perhaps this gives them hope or way to close that circle.

Well done. The characters stay true remaining innocent and awkward through every episode To be untouched by the cynicism of the real world means we secretly watch each week and wish that any portion of a childhood could really be that perfect. And this was tough as I couldn't use Booba rating system to explain why I always had a grin after watching.

What I think Made Dangers in My Heart so amazing is that it was a romance show that didn't really on the usual tropes like "fan service" or "love triangles". Any sort of time it does, like when there is a misunderstanding between them, the show doesn't dwell on it & actually resolves it fairly quickly. It's 2 seasons, but unlike a lot of romance shows, it manages to gradually build up their relationship, without ever feeling like it is dragging on. The season 2 finale really does sum it up perfectly with both their confessions. Yamada brought Ichikawa out of his shell & showed him amazing the world is & how nice people can be, when he was stuck in his insecurities believing people never really liked him. Likewise, Ichikawa made Yamada finally feel comfortable with who she is. Not always worrying about placing others needs above her own, and feeling guilty for having her own desires. It's certainly a 10/10 anime in my book.

A slept-on factor is the dynamic between Ichikawa and Yamada. Too many romance anime skimp on the friendship relationship in favor of the romantic relationship. But when a show takes the time to establish a strong friendship between the two leads, not only does the romance become more believable, but the interactions simply become more fun as well. Their banter alone is funny and shows you just how close the two are.

The biggest reason Season 2 held that position for an entire season is that from episode 1, there was a peak moment per episode. Each episode had an amazing moment between the MCs. Culminating in the Olympus Mons of peak in the final episode. Edit: And if we get a season 3, you are going to be swallowing your words about Kana and Moeko being NPCs.

It's called not airing at the same time as a major shounen anime. Winter 2024 had to be one of the best seasons in a long time cause we didn't have those that ONLY watch shounen ruining every poll

fun fact they actually modified the ending of season 2 you all know how he was brought into the girls room at the start then we get the confession in the end in the manga its supposed to be confession then room but I guess they did have to swap it because of people expectations (because ichikawa confessed)

Hey I agree with you that the side characters are behaves like side characters. Often or most of the romance series the story switch focus as the main MC, telling what the side characters love story about. This series doesn't. Yes there's story about Hara and the bald guy, and also Moeko and the perv guy, but we never spent couple of episodes to watch their story. Hara and bald guy story even if being shown to us it's by double date with our main couple in episode 7 of season 2. No need for multiple episodes dedicated to their love progression. Why this approach is a good thing, because sometimes you just don't care about side characters. In the latest episode we even saw that Moeko just throwing a small sign to the perv guy but the perv guy just didn't noticed. That happened after the main couple interaction which didn't even last few seconds. I'm so happy that side characters story are told as what side characters should be, not stealing the main couple spot in extensive way.
