This literally is what my life is. My mom I love her she is the best she gave me what she didn’t have. Her child hood was hard but my dad on top of that abused her and he hit her but he hit me once and my mom did not let that happen so she took me and left. I love my mom. She is the best mom. And I can’t believe she went through that (btw this is not even a small portion of what she went through) and she is my best friend to this day like literally . Any ways I have daddy issues now because he calls and he is trying to bribe my with money and gold. Keep in mind they got married at 15 so that’s when the abuse started.

If I could only explain my life from the moment I was born to now, this would be it. It fits so well in my situation, “she would rain all day, couldn’t wait for her sun to shine,” my mom right there, “and you made her shine,” she loves her kids so much, her pride and joy are her kids, me and my little brother “broke her heart left money in her hands, so everything got paid for,” he gives her $500 every month expecting it to somehow cover everything we need. Keep in mind my brother is autistic. Sometimes he can’t even give us that, OUT OF SPITE. “She made sure you and your brother had way more than she ever had growing up” she lived her whole childhood poor. She was born in Mexico, and suffered an alcoholic and abusive dad for years, made up with him but then AGAIN with her ex, she always tells me how much she wanted one of those tea sets as a kid but they were too broke to afford one. BREAKS MY HEART. Istg when I can, I will get her that tea set. “But when you told me the whole story I felt like throwing up” I never knew that my dad was so manipulative with my mom. She wanted to simply go out to a restaurant for breakfast or something and he said “ok we’ll get McDonalds” she doesn’t like McDonald’s, or a “our daughter wants us to go see a movie” HE SAID “Then drive her there” my mom didn’t know how to drive. Or how about a “I like this I might buy it” and “that’s useless and it costs too much we don’t need it” controlled her money while he doesn’t spend a penny, his money is too precious to him. I even found out that one of my core memory’s with my dad (him taking me to a pool on a hot summer day) ONLY HAPPENED BECAUSE MY MOM GAVE HIM THE MONEY TO PAY FOR THE ENTRANCE. If she hadn’t he wouldn’t have taken me at all. Sick. Apparently when I was born he would always have me with him, his joy, loved me so much. I just wonder when that stopped. “Go ahead and cry little girl” my dad started to hit my mom because he thought she was cheating on him because she was texting her coworker. I was in the living room and I heard she yell to me to call the police, I sat there and covered my ears. I was so scared I didn’t know what to do. If I called, would it be better or worse? All I could think about was my little brother how he would react. When my mom told him she was breaking up with him, I would sleep with her because she begged me too. At night I would wake up because he would drunkenly walk in and try to apologize and kiss her I just head her keep saying “no, no, go away, go away…” this happened every night till the day we left. I think I was 9 or 10 maybe. I heard and she still doesn’t know. I don’t know if I should even ever tell her. “Nobody does it like you do, I know how much it matters to you” during quarantine it got worse. I was depressed and she didn’t know, she worked all day till midnight, I would take care of my brother but often I wouldn’t eat for days and stayed in my room alone and cried in the dark on the floor. She still doesn’t know about those days. “Go ahead and cry little boy” my little brother. Innocent through it all. He used to say he misses dad. I just feel so bad because at the very least I got some memories with him but he’s so little, I don’t know if he has or remembers any. “You know your daddy did too” I remember my dad coming to visit us way back then with his eyes red and puffy, voice cracking. I hurt seeing him like that but it showed he cared somewhat. I don’t see that anymore tho. “Let it out” I suppress these feelings, I honestly and genuinely don’t want my mom to worry, she has enough stress on her already as is, I don’t want to become another prayer at night.
