Just wondering before I pull my elderly neighbours remote apart can you actually change the frequency on these remotes if that’s what I take ‘tune’ as or you just having a laugh

@@simonkirton8521 I believe they support 2 freqencies, 430 and 320 or something like that. So it's likely some kind of binary switch.

Cheers. Maybe your door master controller memory is full. you can clear it and start from scratch. should work. KZfaq it :) I think I did a video years ago that had how to reset and clear the master controller memory.

There are a few ways to do it... See if you can you tube another method.

My problem was not pressing them at exactly the same time.

get a genuine one then as your signal strength sounds like it has reached it range. easiest way to find your range is to slowly walk toward the door and press until the door reacts.

You Tube it. I believe there are or 3 different methods for the same looking device. If you do find it, let me know and I will post it in the title notes. and may even add a little bit of an explanation at the end of this video.

Hard reboot and then clear off any memory on the garage door controller itself. Then try it.

I have same problem. I thought remote was broken so I bought few of them from diffrent producers but still works only once. I tried to code it in motor but still works only once😐

Hi There, Try doing to the Door opening controller (On the door itself) and press your buttons on the remote.... can you see the light rapidly flashing on the control unit? if so, it is seeing your remote , but just needs to be #CODED# into your controller. try the last part of my instruction on how to do that. - see how you go

Westy's How To Guides Thank you for your reply. I have noticed that when I use the original remote the LED on the control unit flashes rapidly but it does not flash rapidly when using the new remote. I guess that answers my question then, the control unit does not see the remote. Will have to look into another model.

Please, yes for extra links. I have followed the tutorial exactly. The broblem that keeps reoccurring, is when actually holding down the original remote button and the clone one. When simultaneously pressed, I get the clone led flash a few times, but it will never do the final flash to say it has accepted the code Unfortunately, this same thing happens every time. I do hold the remotes next to each other, and have rotated the original remote to every single side, as well as to the two faces of the remote to try find the signal, all to no avail.The clone resets perfectly, as shown by pressing a/button at same time, and then releasing b 3 times. It will simply not indicate the led flash that the code has been read. Thanks

Well, after months of trying, I cannot get these to work on a Firmamatic remote controlled garage door. I still find, that on some occasions, it appears, like the video, that the buttons do not have anything stored. However, a long press of the buttons, which is needed to get my control unit to recognise the transmitting remote, that all the a b c d buttons all show a red light on a long press, and not on with a quick press. I tried so many times, I got the remote batteries go flat. Tried on three units as per the video, without luck. Does anyone use them on anything else, so I can try to confirm they are simply not compatible with Firmamatic?? Thanks for the help.

On the back of the box unit which hangs on the ceiling of your garage door you’ll see a button which says” learn” . That’s what he is talking about

Thanks. iv tried that before. But I cannot seem to get it to go 100% dark. Its either coded with continiously blinking, or just 1 blink when pressing a button :)

i got the same problem.every button flashes 1 time and goes off. i try reset A+B or C+D and blink continuisly. not 3 times.
