My only issue I have with 45 GAP is I never see it. I think I've seen maybe once I stumbled on a few boxes of 45 GAP that was hiding next to the 45 ACP and I had to do a double-take. I couldn't believe I found a box of 45 GAP for sale anywhere.

Have owned a 39 now for 7 years. It's my only gun. Put over 300 rounds thru it and only 2 fail to feed. Easy to carry and conceal. Will stop the big boys on meth or whatever. Bought 500 rounds of ammo for it before the prices went up. Speer Gold Dote shoots great and is accurate. Great gun, ammo is now expensive and hard to find. Still love it.😂

Good effort from Glock, but like the .357 Sig, the ammo was too expensive for similar counterparts .45 acp and 9mm+p. I do like it, but not at those considerably higher prices (if you could find it.)
@spnfirearms4 ай бұрын
Fair enough! Respect
@gameragodzillaАй бұрын
At least with .357 Sig, it’s easily converted to .40S&W which is a lot more common with just a barrel swap. The recoil spring, slide, and even magazines interchange. So you can do most of your practice and range shooting with .40S&W, and as long as some boutique ammo shop like Underwood is still making .357 Sig carry ammo, you can just swap barrels and carry that. Don’t think .45GAP can be easily converted to anything to save ammo.

Soooo, choose one: little G in 357s or little G in 45GAP......can only have one......
@spnfirearms4 ай бұрын
Hm good question. To be honest, both are accurate, powerful handguns but I would go Glock 33 in .357 sig. but don’t count out the 39.. the thing rips. Just much better ballistics and capacity in the 33. respect

@spnfirearms4 ай бұрын
Haha well I love it.. but my recoil spring broke at just over 1k rounds. They are fixing it but take it how ever you want that. I love the handgun tho..
@RogersGirl883 ай бұрын
Here’s how it seems to me: “So HERE is a regular 9mm round. And HERE is a 9mm Yeti Leprechaun round. As you can see, the 9mmYL is a millimeter shorter, allowing for the same ballistic potential of the standard 9 mil, but in a gun that is a quarter smaller. Sure the YL rounds are impossible to find and cost a fortune, but your gun can be slightly shorter.”

For someone that doesn’t own a Glock but planning to get in the future. Would 45 gap or acp be a good choice for edc or just go with Glock 43x in 9mm?

@@spnfirearms thanks for the response. Its impressive the round has similar barrel pressures to the standard 45 ACP while maintaining the velocity out of a shorter cartridge. Maybe one day Ill run across a used G39 for a good price.

Another excellent video!!! I say .45ACP for the win every single tie and here’s why: - .45ACP Ammo is found everywhere. Literally. From the fishing tackle store up here in the eastern Sierras where I’m usually at, to the local sporting goods stores in the big cities. Not so,for the .45GAP. - .45ACP Defense ammo options are by and large much more plentiful than .45GAP. There’s much more selection availability for the ACP, hands down. - .45ACP FMJ ammo is much cheaper than .45GAP. For the most part, Training and range time costs less with .45ACP than with .45GAP. - .45ACP Defense ammo is much cheaper than .45GAP and also easier to find on the shelves of ammo retailers. Also, I checked my Glock magazines, which I have dozens of Glock 22, 23, 31, 32 and older 17 magazines that have the metal showing in the detent. Ever take apart a Glock magazine? They’re metal on the inside with polymer on the outside, with the exception of Gen 1 mags. That’s when Glocks came out in the USA in the early 80’s and everyone complained that the magazines could swell when fully loaded and would not drop freely when empty. So Glock added steel to the innards and a tough polymer coating on the outside. I still have many Gen 1 Glock 17 magazines that I don’t carry, alone with my Gen 1 Glock 17 I bought way back when.

Would mean the world to me if you could get back to me on this comment; I purchased the remsport g26 rmr slide and put it on a gen 5 frame with a gen 3 16lb stainless steel recoil spring. I cannot get it to cycle properly and the barrel seems to be out of place whenever I rack the slide once or twice. I’ve watched many videos but reached out to you because I know you have a similar build but I know you have a Gen 3 frame. If you could please let me know what you think

I've had my 39 for a fee years. Once in a while my LGS comes up with GAP rounds and I but em when I see them. I think I'll go on line and stock up on more. But let me tell ya something I'm gonna try soon. I found that a .40 caliber mag fits my 39 just fine. .45 GAP rounds fit in them and will cycle. I have a small vice and plan to set it up so I can try it remotely. Imagine a .45 GAP that small with higher capacity mags? And I have them from model 27 to model 22 and 35.
