45699 Blitzes Grayrigg on The CME 17/10/15

Here is my footage of The Cumbrian Mountain Express on Saturday 17th October 2015. LMS 45699 'Galatea' was the motive power for the tour after a late substitution of booked locomotive 46115 'Scots Guardsman' the Scot failed its late fitness test yesterday. We see the Jubilee getting a gentle shove from the rear gunner on the back at a sunny Rowell on its steady climb up to Grayrigg and Shap on the WCML The tour was running from London Euston to Carlisle via the WCML and returning over the Settle and Carlisle railway and it was also being steam hauled from Carnforth to Carlisle and back to Farington on the return leg.

Nice shot at a good location Phil, shame about the diesel tho, the passengers are being cheated when the diesels help out, there paying for steam haulage .
