How many times have you spent hours trying to pick a lock only to realize your using the wrong tool ? And what is the right tool ?
I say any tool that gets it open quickly and easily is the right tool.

😅👏👏👏 great picking!!! Good advice on using a separate lock for the cable to slow the bad guys down!!!👍👍👍🐈‍⬛🐾🐈🐾

Ya I like they add an extra cable but I would not use it with the U-lock alone

Great video Big Al! Good tips from Bosnian Bill to keep trying different tools ⚒️. That is a nice Abus bike lock even though it is a wafer. The bad guys aren’t going to pick it any ways. That evolves a skill set beyond their pay grade. 👍🦊

Ya know I always say that, thieves steal because their too stupid to do anything intelligent so ya, lock picking is way beyond them. It requires a bit of work. And yes, The lock is pretty good actually

Excellent tips! BB is one of my favorite, was sad to see him retire, but I get it. His videos are a wealth of information and I miss the new ones. Thanks for the video Al! Keep up the great work

Same here. He got me started. Always willing to help. I cant even get a reply from LPL. I found it sad to see LPL was the one to tell us BB retired. Like why didn't BB do some sort of farewell. Just strange

My early homemade picks frequently broke which made pick selection easy when there was only one left 🙃But it did help me learn that it's as much understanding what you're trying to do as it is the tools you're using to do it. And I learned that just because something isn't supposed to work doesn't always mean it won't, so don't be afraid to try something different. Miss Bill a lot- it was he who rekindled my interest in locks.

Ya I broke a couple early on because I didn't know how much force to use. Now I haven't broke one in years. Ya, BB was awesome, always there to help. I try to do the same because he did it for me. Pay it foreword

That’s pretty cool. I never even thought of trying to use a warded pick as a wafer lock rack. Now I need to go through my lock collection.

Ya we all get use to reaching for certain tools like robots. While missing an opportunity to learn something new

Excellent advice. I try a lot of unconventional ways to open locks, some work, some don't, but it's fun to try. Take care my friend. Go U.S.

I agree but it still drives me nuts when people say they picked a locked with a rake. Like no, you opened with a rake, lock picking is totally different in my book

Ya the jigglers are a safe bet but I was on a roll so I just got crazy with it. But it brings up a good point I had to share, sometimes we need to stop going with the safe bet and try something different. Ya I miss BB also. He taught me a LOT

He is a legend, true locksport supporter. He taught me so much it's priceless. Trying something different is one of the things that stuck. He would do about ten minutes and if it didnt open he would use something different

Many thanks, how disappointing ABUS are normally pretty good locks , a better core is most definitely needed.

And if you dont want and extra padlock on the cable at least use the cable because it is part of the locking system provided. Trust me it wlll make a difference in terms of what attacks the thieves have toy use to steal the bike. I have witnessed them attacking locks without the cable and they did it to a Kryptonite lock under 4 secs. NO TOOLS were used.

Open with just about anything, tool type. Because you never know until you try it. Surprised Abus are fairly reliable. But this is just nuts. A hard pass on this particular model type. Ah good video review and I am surprised you didn’t try picking it with a spaghetti noodle 😁

If the wrong tool can be the right tool, can the right tool be wrong?! If the right tool doesn't work than it was never the right tool? (Hold on one sec. my brain just exploded)
