I absolutely love your piece using packaging! Apparently that bird makes a really interesting sound as well, the bird species is so fascinating and diverse! Every little touch just enhanced his environment, especially the gold!💕🇨🇦

Hello Barbara, such a lovely tag. It is so sad to think of the amount of animals and birds that are facing extinction. I think the human race has a lot to be ashamed of, it is after all, our greed(in some cases - deforesting their habitat etc) ANYHOOOOO, we Journallers do our bit by using all the "junk" we can lay our hands on. Shoebills are my favorite bird. Love how the card turned out. I also love that you showed how to use it in a journal. I’m often afraid to commit ephemera to my pages. This video helped a lot.

I'm picky about the birds I choose to use. This one is gorgeous. You gave him a good home. Like how you did the packaging, and left the back original. The attachment was brilliant.

I just love him and the whole card. When you went to that page, my eyes immediately went to him. I’m pretty sure I saw him when I was in Africa. I saw some really cool birds there. Thank you for speaking about him. We are losing so many animals, birds and all the little critters too. They are all losing there habitat and I don’t think your average person knows how bad. There are more tigers in captivity than in the wild. We have lost 90 % of lions and elephants and there are so many animals more worse off then that so thank you for sharing this fine feathered beauty with us. He’s quite a handsome dude

Came home after visiting family 900 km away and you answered a question I had. I’m in Queensland Australia and I had a lovely meal in a Cafe called St. Shoebill and of course I was curious as to the origins of the name. I love the way this turned out (I think I start all my comments to you this way! Lol). This bird is so interesting. I’ve never heard of it before. It reminds me that there are so many species out there that I’ve never heard of before that will become extinct and I will have missed out on knowing about it. This guy got a beautiful place to be highlighted from. Anyone who sees this episode will learn about him and see his beautiful tag. I always love the gold or any metallic medium to bring sparkle to a page. Luises Journal is an amazing place for it to end up. Well done!♥️♥️♥️

I have several packages like that .I will use tea bags on them and a bit of texture paste. I like your tag, wow with the golden touch! The bird is awesome with his wide beak! Those stenciled leaves work well in many of your projects.😊😊❤

Hi Barbara. I absolutely love to make ephemera pieces from my collection of tags, packaging backing, and what not. For some reason they turn out so much better than just a regular piece of card stock covered in a digital. Love your beautiful creation. ❤
