Today on The Skid Factory, AL & Woody drop the fuel tank to replace the standard pump with a Raceworks 265LPH E85 compatible fuel pump and then refit the 20V 4AGE back into the car.
Woody then matches up some radiator hoses from a few different cars to sort out the cooling system.

Do what I did last time I had to do her pump because she likes to drive them with no gas in the tank; mount the tank level sender a bit higher and “recalibrate” the needle to where topped of is even at the “F” line. Seriously not joking. Solved my issue on the second replacement fuel pump. Effectively reduces the useable capacity in the tank by a few gallons but no more rescue missions or burnt out fuel pumps. 🤣

I read some reports on fuel ageing, actually the octane number is not deteriorating at all, however the light hydrocarbon chains evaporate and makes the fuel harder to ignite and also slows down the flame speed during combustion. :)

You're lucky the fuel tank had a drain plug! The early ones didn't. I had a hell of a time doing mine on ramps and jack stands in the driveway, hahaha. So much easier to get all those back lines with the engine out and the car on a lift I imagine.

These series takes me back nearly 20 years when I did this same swap. The stock AW11 came with a factory water oil cooler on the lower right side of the engine bay firewall...thats why it had that factory sandwich plate.

Hey all quick tec tip, some times you can use a large socket over the clutch plate spigot thing and line them up the the fingers on the Pressure plate

Next time you do this kinda thing - check the online Mackay Rubber PDF catalogue beforehand, they organise their radiator hosing by ID and show a silhouette of said hose. Makes it a heeeeap and cheaper.

I know to well about the 4age 20v vacuum leaks 😂 I spent years trying to chase one down which stopped the car idling right turned out one small pipe at a small slit in it which you could see I replaced it now idles like a champ.

Seriously, you guys have the best jobs in the world. I'm lucky enough to have a job that provides for my family and wasn't affected by Covid, but I'd give my left nut to be able to do what you blokes do, to figure stuff out and tinker. Only channel I watch religiously (Nugget garage 2nd). Do a Toyota 4k next, everyone who does them HAS to be a tinkerer, you can't just go to the shop to buy hot parts for them, and they sound tough with monster cams 🤣
