Jianye District is located in the central part of Nanjing, one of the eight main urban districts of the city. It is a financial service center in the eastern part of China, and a business, exhibition, cultural, sports, and innovation center in the East China region. Jianye District was established in 1933, named after the ancient name of Nanjing in the Western Jin Dynasty².
