Northwest Michigan in the summer? Nothing like it. I grew up in Central Michigan until I was 19, fairly frequently visiting the areas around Petoskey, Harbor Springs, Walloon Lake, Traverse City, Charlevoix, and Mackinaw Island. Although I’ve now lived in Central Florida for 26 years, I still get back once or twice a year to visit my parents, and always try to visit the northwest. I actually produced a show for the television network that I used to work at up at Bay Harbor in 2007, and really tried to showcase the good points of that area and my former home state.

As a kid - it was much more fun as the cement factory. We lived on the other side of the quarry & woods.

Beautiful homes owned by the 0.1%ers, but wow, these are the people that are never happy because they are always competing with the Jones's next door. Sad life to live each day one upping the neighbor with a bigger yacht, bigger house, better view, etc.
