This video introduces you to Japanese supermarkets and food in Musashi-kosugi. There are so many of them in this small area and this may be one of the reasons why Musashi-kosugi is so popular. We will be stopping by 8 shopping malls and supermarkets. (Please see below for detail.)

What a awesome place to live. Urban cosmopolitan living but with no crime and homeless people. Clean stores and lots of variety. If I was wealthy enough I would pack up and move to Japan. This reminds me of the days when I was growing up and spent my summers with my grandparents in Japan. Just like the little boy walking by himself at the beginning of the video; how awesome is it to live in a society where children can walk around freely without the slightest bit of hesitancy by their parents.

I feel the same way every time I see elementary school kids walking by themselves on the streets or riding train alone, I feel amazed and thankful at the same time to our society for being so safe. Thank you so much for watching! 😄

I don't know if you can read this comment since this video is a year old but please do more of these videos. There is not a lot of people actually going inside the stores or malls to show everything around and this kind of videos make me feel like I'm actually there and observe Japanese daily life. Thank you so much if you read this comment and actually make some videos

Thank you so much for this simple but compelling and visually striking video. I miss Japan so much and hope fervently that international travel resumes by 2023 at the latest. We don't live forever and we aren't all blessed with a lifetime of perfect health and mobility so I'm cross with the precious time that is being wasted. Yaahhrrr! Until then, I will keep watching the excellent videos people like you are kind enough to make and upload. I'm making notes for my next travel itinerary so thank you for being so inspiring and educational at the same time. Brilliant!

I used to live one stop away from Musashi-Kosugi. This brings back all the memories. Used to go to Grand Tree for some shopping, and even signed up for the gym there to do my work outs there as well. Very pleasant place. If I ever return to live in Japan, this would be one of the places I would want to live in (though whether I can afford to is another matter lol)

I use a separate device to record audio but it seemed the microphone jack was loose and it didn't record binaural audio properly. I thought about re-shooting this video on another day but I've been so tired these days after 24 hour work. Next time, I will check very carefully with the audio device before I start shooting a video! 😄

Your video is nice! We are also introducing Tokyo and around in our channel. However your introduction using the map to show the location is a good idea. And Musashi Kosugi is a good choice of the location because that is not the tourist area but it's good to feel deeper part of Japan. By the way, was it easy to get the permission to record inside the shop? We are also thinking of introducing Japanese shops from inside.

Apologies for my slow reply. I normally go into stores and look for "No Photography/Video" sign. If I find one, I cancel my shooting. The other day I went to a shopping mall near Tokyo Disneyland because It looked so nice and I saw many videos shot there. But when I got there I saw a big sign of "No Photography/Video" sign and I had to reluctantly cancel my shooting and came home disappointed.

Yes, this place is a newly developed area and very popular among young families. I guess it's somewhat more affordable thatn Tokyo but the popularity is so high that the price should be going up because it's only 15 to 20mins from Shibuya and Yokohama. Thank you so much for watching! 😄
