I loved the weather out there. In the Summer, the temperature range is 77 for a high temp & 68 for the low temp.

right before labor day the tourist/ students leave. Also downtown isn't the main business/employment center. Its spread out mostly to north .Downtown is more hotels and restaurants

I grew up in San Diego and I lived there until I was 23. I cannot believe how gentrified it is now. I also hate that stupid sailor- and- girlfriend- kissing statue. It is a great photograph that is one of the most iconic images from World War II. It just doesn't work as a statue at all.

I'm from Europe and I'm thinking of moving away, and I'm looking at warmer places. This basically exludes Canada and leaves the US and Australia in the race. San Diego is beautiful. Been to Los Angeles twice. It's cool, but a bit too much for me. As a place, California has the upper place when considering my move. Pretty much the only thing that keeps Australia in the race is the healthcare situtation in the US.

@@TravelingwithAndrew I think it is an okay time now. Vaccinations are finally rolling out en masse and San Diego doesn't have the social unrest that a lot of big American cities are having. Just enjoyed a wonderful day on Coronado Island. Lots of tourists having a great time.

America's declining big cities are run by Progressives of varying economic status, not just wealthy progressives. American Progressivism is a form of socialism that took stronghold of the U.S. governmental system in the Progressive Era 1890-1920 and has expanded that grip ever since. Progressives with no real affiliation until the 1930s, when most joined the New Deal Democratic Party coalition of President Franklin D. Roosevelt. Socialism is a fundamentally flawed social and economic theory that erodes both societal harmony and economic productivity to the degree it is imposed upon the populace. Socialism has a strong emotional appeal. Apparently, only hard personal experience dampens that enthusiasm. American cities are starting to get that dose of reality. Socialism has no place in America... Bernie Sanders and Elizabeth Warren need to go.
