I made this video in 1983 on Umatic video tape and then transferred it to VHS and finally I have digitized it.
There is a music montage for the 1st couple of minutes, but then it just has just background audio.
I had intended to add a commentary, but never got around to it.
It's interesting to see how designs have changed and see some old faces.

Thanks so much for this. I was a schoolboy helper at this event ( in 'Tx Control' if I remember rightly), great memories! York UK (on the Knavesmire) btw.

Wow this is a blast from the past. Thanks for spending the time getting it on here. Looks like HQ himself was there. Dr. Walt Good had a Samun. Cool video.

Glad you enjoyed it. I had intended to put a commentary on it but never got around to it. I still have the original low band Umatic video tapes and a few interviews I did with the competitors on reel to reel 1/4" audio tape but no access to a tape machine now.
