This is my last camping trip with my son before he joins the Army. Definitely a bittersweet moment in life when the last child leaves home.

Your knife skills are obvious. It’s not just the things you were doing but the control and comfort while using the knife. Thanks for the videos and I hope your boy is doing well in service.

Very nice. You certainly are getting your money's worth from that knife. Still looks like the day you got it. Your pup was pretty excited too! Lol

Thanks bud, I definitely am. My pup is 8 years old now and nothing makes her happier than a day or two in the woods!

Great video! The Woodsman can surely do it all.

Remember your shock cord for your wrist bud. It makes working with blade a lot easier. Like the hammock set up 👍

“If you will do, it will do.” ~Alan Kay (Alone Season 1 winner) That’s the first thing I think of when using a big knife doing small knife things. Your knife control and skills rival a chefs! 👍🏻

Kevin is a magician when it comes to blade geometry and grinding. Even with the Shirley, I’m surprised how slicy it is considering its sturdiness. It seems The Woodsman got the same magic. Even though I have my Front Line, I think I need a Woodsman.

You're absolutely right Bob, I've owned a lot of different blades, some of them custom. For about 8 years I even forged and sold my own knives but Kevin's convex grind is the best I've ever come across. When you combine that with his heat treatment.... IMHO it's an unbeatable combination. When my son gets to his unit after basic training I'll send him a knife that will not ever fail him, an Origin Knife. Btw: it's a good thing that I don't live in the UK, I would end up owning a lot of Kevin's blades! Lol
