It's not a bad vehicle. On and off road I took mine off road a few weeks ago and posted some clips on KZfaq. 200k miles on mine so far and still going strong kept up with regular maintenance and oil changes.

Good video that confirmes many of the points i was looking at when buying my Pathfinder a couple of weeks ago, many of them have already high km but i managed to find a well kept one with around 100k km from 2007, so far i am completely in love with it :) Keep up your great work! Great video, I have a 2011 R51 LE with a 2" lift and 32" tires plus a rooftop tent. So far it's gone everywhere I've wanted it too, it was very cheap compared to competitors and it handles like a dream on pavement. My only complaint is how the rear suspension alignment works, only one bushing in the control arm is adjustable for some reason. To get a lift aligned you need eccentric bushings for the upper control arms to space it out more, or have to weld on gussets that allow for extra camber and toe adjustment.

Very good review. Got a 2011 R51 this year and have been impressed with how well the ABLS system works offroad. Got me out of some situations where I had a wheel up in the air or a steep climb. "Auto" mode is only available in the LE version in the USA where I am. Notable things for me that I like is the width is only 73 inches while most newer vehicles are 75. So it's easier to park next to people or drive past them in a tight spot without hitting stuff if you live in a big city. Really like the 2wd mode instead of an AWD vehicle after learning you have to replace all 4 tires in an AWD vehicle even if only one goes bad. Also the only SUV I could find where the second and third row fold down completely flat. I looked at a 2010 Ford Explorer and 2015 Kia Sorento but the rear seat in those don't fold down completely flat. Biggest thing to watch out for is the SMOD issue. 2011 and 2012 don't have that issue as much but earlier years you'll probably want to do the bypass fix to prevent coolant from destroying the transmission.

I use Pathfinder for daily drive and Suzuki Samurai for real off road! Pathfinder more likely is a family vehicle to go camping near sea.

Unfortunately they just cant keep up to r50's (1996 - 2004) as an offroader seen some lifted and done up, but even then the only ones that have out performed my R50's have been solid axle swapped and had major fab work done. The solid axle and lsd in the rear of the r50 made it so capable and with 2 inch lift and 31's i have over 10 inches of clearance

have 3.0 170kw diesel pathfinder 2012 as a daily last 3,5 years and nothing to complain about it, taken it extreme offroad routes aswell light ones, performs nicely, done few mods, lifted it + added winch, bit better tires and nothing else needed. Go to fishing, camping pretty much everywhere you want to. Intrested then peek into chanell i got some content about mine, then you can see and maybe get some extra ideas if intrested :P

Suv version of Navara. But off road wise I think it's better to get the Navara. Same thing truck version only.

I have a 2006 Pathfinder, it's gotten me through a lot of shaky situations on and off road. Out of curiosity, what country are you from? I never knew manual R51 Pathfinders existed since every Pathfinder in America from 2004 - 2012 only came in an automatic.

I own an older 2001 r50 pathy (4 years now / I am proud as punch second owner got it with only 85k on the clock so it was a bargin at 10k AUD and LOVE it! It's never let me down as I did my research with it being a Jap built engine. Be very careful with some of the r51 models as my understanding is their enginas are built elsewhere and many problems come with that. It's why I ONLY buy older Jap built engine models with less tech under the hood, less things to go wrong electronically. But hey if you want the fancy ar$e warming seats and built in Google controller then go for it, each to their own I say. Yeah ARB....being Aussie I know them VERY well and it is the rich man's 4x4 retailer for a reason. Fantastic products but RIDICULOUSLY over priced. It's why you'll find new Landcrusier, LandRover and alike owners kit their 4X4's out via their 'retail are for suckers' / money to burn attitude adding an extra mortgage to go with their luxury 4X4. It's why most of the time you will not see a single one off road out of fear of breaking it. Particularly here on the sand islands that lay off the South East Queensland coastline between Brisbane and Hervey Bay that's for dam sure as they are $hit scared of getting bogged come the high tide about to come in. Check out YT videos of "Inskip Point" and Rainbow Beach for an insight, it's pure GOLD viewing material with hours of entertainment. Alot of these owners with the 100k AUD 4x4 vehicles will no doubt also have an attached trophy bride to go with it on top! Anyway thought I'd give some input on the Pathfinder and some light hearted entertainment for everyone. Seriously though check out those locations above but put in the search bar "Bogged at Inskip Point" or Bogged at Rainbow Beach... it'll make you laugh your ar$e off
