Welcome to Jafffa Adventures where Jill and Terry take off for a half year trip through the remote regions of South Australia and Western Australia on a camping and 4WD odyssey. In this video we continue along the Canning Stock Route between Wells 28 and 33. We recommission in Kunawarritji, before heading back out into the desert. We climb Thring Rock and witness a fire in the desert. Come join us on the adventure!
If West Australia 4WD and off-road tracks, remote camping, and hiking are not on your bucket list, they should be!!
If you like overlanding, if you like remote unspoiled places, if you like 4WD action, if you like camping from your 4x4 then this is the place to be.

Thanks mate, we really took our time on the trip. Most people do it in 10 to 14 days, we took 24 so we could really smell the roses (or camel berries🤪). Thanks for watching👍😎

Here in Melbourne in February, I’m paying $2.20 lt for diesel, so $3 out there isn’t too bad. You really capture the spirit of the outback with your comments and videos.

Loving the vids but I would like to make a suggestion. Some time ago we switched from using a Rode Video Micro (that looks like to mic you have too) to the Rode Wirelss Go II for doing any voice or voice over stuff. I found it makes a huge difference with getting nice volume levelling. There is also a new DJI mic system that is competing with Rode now.

Thanks for the feedback, it is very much appreciated. I have both systems, the rode video micro and the wireless go ll lapel mic. I use the wireless ll in my maintenance and mod videos pretty much exclusively, but don’t use it a lot in my travel vids, mainly because the charge for the wireless unit only lasts a few hrs. I do understand that audio can certainly make or break a video, that’s for sure. Thanks for sharing 😎👍

The reason for my comment is the level difference between in-car and outside. In car is challenging I knw :) @@JafffaAdventures

Indeed, I understand completely. Add in the fact that Jill is using her phone and it gets tricky. Thanks for the feedback 👍😎

Is your Explore Oz loaded into the head unit? do you need internet to use it? Thanks for your videos and for taking time to answer everybody.

Yes indeed, it’s on the head unit but you can have it on a phone, or a tablet, or computer. We have the offline map pack which allows real time tracking without the need for an internet connection. It’s a great little package and I rate it highly. Cheers👍😎

As you noticed, we don’t do much filming of meals or mealtime. I guess that’s because when I watch videos it does not interest me, I love eating, just not watching what everyone else does for meals😉. We are pretty much a meat and 2 veg kinda family. Cheers😎👍

@@JafffaAdventures yeah, I understand.I don't like the actual showing of the cooking but interested to know how your fridge is holding up. Like ,what are you carrying in there to keep you going for days on end. Also , was looking forward to hearing stories from your past like the last episode. Was waiting to hear the boarding of the 747 to Australia part..

We have an 80 litre Waeco with a freezer compartment and fridge compartment. Meat is cryovacced and frozen, keeps for months. Rest of the fridge stuff is topped up as we go along. I’m pretty sure I finish the “moving to Australia” story in a future episode…pretty sure🤔
