Don’t forget about the military base shooting that happen years back. Around 10+ people wish they were alive to tell you the 5.7 blue tip ammo is ineffective.

The blue tip is really good for self defense . WHO needs to punch through body armor . It dumps all its energy and and doesn’t overpenatrate

Punching through body armor is always a perk in my opinion. I'd rather have the capability and never need it than need it and not have it.

Great vid. 5.7x28 is such an entertaining KZfaq cartridge. All the boutique ammo outfits with fancy designs, the issues with the lacquer it needs to function and of course the Aramid defeating properties (UHMPE is often a different story). If it weren’t for the - I need 20+ rounds - crowd, the proper replacement for this cartridge would be a 357 Sig with the 68 grain Lehigh XD. That’s a proper anti 3a ammo and it will do damage after it got through

Garand thumb made one video testing the crappiest ammo on the market and boom everyone hates 5.7..... it's a good cartridge if you have a realistic expectation of its capabilities. Armor piercing ✓ 100m flat shooting✓ High capacity ✓ Low recoil ✓ Lightweight ammo ✓ Yes 357 Sig is a more potent cartridge.... So is 44 magnum.... Different cartridge for a different set of needs. Life's a balancing act full of compromises and a good compromise means no one is happy. Do I wish 5.7 was more powerful, of course. Would I trade 50% more power for 25% less ammo and 300% more recoil, no.

I had the same issue with my friends Rock with different ammo. I used the same ammo in my M&P and had no issues. I would check the gun and see if you are getting light primer strikes.

The gun is fine, shoots all other factory ammo. Elite ammo made it right, they sent me all new ammo. I spoke with what I'm assuming is the owner, he said he originally was using hard military primers. New batch he sent out no longer seems to have them

Talk about having the wind knocked out of your sails. If the penetration of the 10mm doesn't get you, the sheer force of it with back face deformation will lol.

YT is notorious for censoring Gun content/channels. I fairly regularly have people tell me they were automatically unsubscribed/didn't get notifications/don't see my content in their feed.

KZfaq/Reddit trends amaze me.... Prior to a poorly informed Garandthumb video the internet loved 5.7... one video later people come to videos like mine just to insert their option about the 5.7x28... Let me guess, you also believe DeadAir is a trash company with terrible customer service?
