John Varvatos Vintage doesn’t get enough attention. It is a fantastic scent, great for spring and summer. It projects fairly decent for the first hour and on skin lasts around 6-8 hours. It is not a beast but not weak at all. It is very versatile a daily for sure, semi casual and can be dressed up. Overall a very well balanced scent. A big downfall is the atomizer, a windex bottle probably has a better one but for the price you pay can’t complain much. I have got many compliments with this one and the scent is amazing in the air.

I wish aspen and any other very cheap green scents were on this list. Yes lucky you is very cheap on discounters. Closer to price the same as the others you mentioned on amazon etc. lucky you is the most spring smelling scent I have ever smelled

Azzaro cologne intense is decent for sure, quite difficult to find for under 40 euros in France, still sells at full retail for 70 something! 😉 The recent Chrome Parfum is one of their best IMO.

I've been wanting to pick up a bottle of Lucky You for nostalgic purposes but I wasn't sure if it was still being produced or if it was as good as it used to be. Usually when I pick up those old cheap nostalgic scents for my youth, I'm wildly disappointed. That one was a great springtime scent though. I could almost smell it right now.

Makes sense when ypu say that lucky you might be a more mature mens scent, because if youre ever curious enough, spray lucky and platinum egoiste on yourself side by side, and in the drydown theyre VERY similar, obviously the chanel smells higher quality and performs better of course. But none the less its interesting

Porto Neroli is my beach scent. Before this i was seriously thinking of getting the Tom Ford as i like it that much. But the performance is only ok and at the Tom Ford price i couldn't justify it.

Honestly I’m getting to a point where fragrance videos are pointless if they don’t speak on performance.

Most fragrances have at least okay performance. Anything that lasts over six hours is tiring and bad for your skin, anything with too much projection becomes antisocial so there’s no need to talk about performance unless something is really weak or completely beast mode. Not to mention that performance depends heavily on your skin chemistry (or the lotion on it) or on the type of fabric you spray the fragrance on

There are fragrances that you can spray at home to improve your mood. It’s easier to re spray under those circumstances (if they are cheap, of course). But yeah, I get what you’re saying. It’s still nice to know about fragrances that smell great though, even when their performance is subpar.

@@kmw1175 Absolutely. Gents Scents to me is the fragrance Godfather at this point- his recommendations are top tier, but I have a problem getting a fragrance if I don’t know the performance.
