Good call on the extra pair of suit trousers. Very true. If you only get one pair of pants and something happens to them, you no longer have a suit. Another tip I'd like to throw out there is if you're going to be wearing the suit or trousers frequently, try to avoid finer wools and go with a medium weight. They will last longer and will not get shiny as quick.

So true about the camera 360 measuring how inaccurate that can be. I don’t want to mention the company here but once I DID go to another site which was Tailor Store, they did an amazing job!! Will save your tip for future reference might get myself measured when I go into a suit shop/store, always have problems with measurements when coming to chest size, pants, shirt collars & more, so frustrating

Great job with all the content you provide on you channel and I love the personal interviews with different companies, since you like the suits so much you try to do another video with the company you think has the best over all and visit the factory...

I bought a couple of suits-one at Suit Supply and one from Nordstrom-and both of them needed to be re-tailored within months. I took them to a local old-fashioned hidden gem of a men's clothing store and they did some magic. But they also sell suits and I have to ask myself what it must be like for someone to buy suits online, then bring them to the shop for tailoring; I just wouldn't do it. I have decided that the next suit that I buy will be from the shop, and they will tailor it there, and it will be perfect. Of course, there are tailors that don't also sell clothing, and that is a different story.

I always thought that the reason you’d want a second pair of pants was so that you could hem one to wear with dress shoes and another hemmed higher to wear with dress boots.

Suit supply I remember when I ordered mine online had a option for a large amount extra $300 at the time to out your exact dimensions in for the pants and jacket.

I'm enjoying your content. I ordered one MTM tuxedo a few years ago. I was mostly happy with it, but the shoulders were just too wide for me. I'm not sure what to do to get my next order more to my taste. When I measure my bare shoulders i get 46cm, if I measure a suit that I like, I get the same measurement. Any ideas on this specific measurement, what the differential typically would be between your measurement and the measurement of the finished product? I'm going to 'overcommunicate' as you say, but I'm wondering if maybe I should shave off a couple of centimeters from my measurement to compensate.

So I just went to a bunch of stores to try off the rack suits. All of them fit pretty poorly and would require quite a lot of tailoring. That made me think about MTM, but then you read that those generally are quite off the first time too... What do you suggest?

Jon, on the MTM shirts is it best to measure and add some buffer for shrinkage or do companies consider that when you provide your body measurements?
