I think you are a genius. The candy cane hearts are a great idea. We always have candy canes left from Christmas and we could make Valentines gifts from them . For the candy dispenser. I was thinking of cutting all the pieces out and giving the kit to my grand children to put together. I would drill 2 small holes and provide small dowels to glue in the holes so they don't have any nails to pound in. Also I would prepare the jar lid. A small bag of m&Ms would complete the kit. Thanks for the idea.

Super great gift ideas that are a little out of the norm- aka everyone else is't doing it. I especially love the colored chocolate bark. What a sophisticated looking dessert and the added coloring is unique and really special yet not that difficult to make- especially if one needed a large number for gifts. My not-crafty and not-a-chef sister first intro ducted me homemade chocolate-covered pretzels and I was hooked. But she adds a carmel layer before the chocolate; the simple addition of a high-quality carmel really makes the treat DIVINE. She buys the carmel-which comes in a block- at her local cake supply store here in the states.

Made the candy dispenser for my friend's birthday. Mine usually only works once and then has to to be shaken for it to dispenser more m&m's, but I think it would work perfectly fine with smaller candies like mini m&m's and nerds. Good luck for all the other people that try this. I plan on making another one.

I love the candy dispenser idea! I'm going to make one for my nieces birthday (she's turning 5) because whenever she gets lollies like m&ms she never eats them quickly, so it usually results in her walking around with a handful of half melted lollies. I'll probably make more layers under the longest stick so it's easy for her to put her hand under it

*ohhh yummmm, that pistachio chocolate bark looks absolutely GLORIOUS!!! Pistachio is actually my favorite nut to eat with chocolate! I just LOVE the flavor combination and actually Lindt makes the most scrumptious pistachio cream chocolate bar.. oh my goodness it's so heavenly!!! I just made one of he candy dispensers! I found this video last fall, and had it in my mind that I was going to make one for a friend, but I never did. Now, it's my friends birthday and she loves candy! I couldn't find any square prices of wood so I had to make due with a rectangled price of wood, and I think it looks great! Thank you!
